Sex before Marriage?

DomFortress The same can be said about yourself, as in you just assumed that it's "natural" that everyone is "curious" about sex.

Nice job avoiding my point by accusing me of something.
And f.y.i. my basis on sexual curiosity is NOT an assumption. It's observation. I've talked to lots of different people about it, both in real life and online. That is not a coincidence.
Also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_sexuality
So what about those who are asexual? They aren't natural to your biased perception on human sexuality? Because I don't see asexual children in your source.

That's exactly my point, it's simply gratification. I honestly don't see what your problem is.

DomFortress wrote:It means you used your partners as mere means for achieving your own ends. They're nothing more than objects that you interact with, who they are as persons means nothing to you and have no values to you. So instead of you having the freedom to create alternative values and meanings about the sexual relationship you have with your partners, your nihilist belief just devalues everyone you know, Yourself included.

In fact, based on your belief alone, you probably thought that's why they approached you in the first place. Without yourself knowing just what they thought about you, how much you meant to them, and why. Seeing as how you don't like to be judged.

I find my nihilist belief comforting, thank you very much. I don't treat my casual sex partners badly, or look down upon them. You sound very bitter, and you seem to be putting words in my mouth. I have no problem with people simply viewing me sexually, I find it a lot easier that way, I'm okay with being alone.
I'm saying you're not fully embracing nihilism, as long as you're still using the value-adding and feeling words like "comforting," "bitter," "easier," and "okay."

That's because I may be a nihilist, but I still have feelings. I'm not a psychopath. I think it's you who has the problem with my lack of really giving a damn.

DomFortress ]So what about those who are asexual? They aren't natural to your biased perception on human sexuality? Because I don't see asexual children in your source.

Apparently, you overlooked this part right here:

Children are naturally curious about their bodies and sexual functions — they wonder where babies come from, they notice anatomical differences between males and females, and many engage in genital play or masturbation. Child sex play includes exhibiting or inspecting the genitals. Many children take part in some sex play.

Of course there are children who are asexual. I never said ALL children are sexually interested. And I didn't because I thought it would be implied. That you would be smart enough to understand that. That I didn't have to feed you every single little detail like a little child.

Apparently, I was wrong...

Nihilism is a complete lack of values formed by preferences and biases. Therefore psychopaths aren't nihilists, because they have their own preference and bias. In the sense that they don't give a damn about who's feelings they ended up hurting, as long as they can get whatever that they want.

And obviously, you didn't see children naturally engaging conjugal relationship anywhere in wiki. While you have no idea how much I do know about human sexuality and culturally constructed gender ideology.

No, the way you're questioning me sound like you think I'm a heartless whore, which is not true. I just don't believe in the moral standard, and the social confinements of society.

These are all your own original self-description, not mine:

I personally feel nothing about sex. It means absolutely nothing to me, no attachments, nothing. I'm quite sluttish, which isn't always good, but I just see sex through libertarian eyes.
And I didn't even ask you anything in the first place. You made it personal when you invoked yourself as a case study.

But can you not see that the way you're going about this debate isn't light hearted or even a meaningful discussion any more, you just sound obnoxious.

The same reason how and why I dislike Internet dating. For such is the nature of the beast known as impersonal socialization.

That's a very interesting theory, and I'm sorry if I was a bit too calloused. I'm not used to internet debating, and I don't enjoy it one bit.

No need for apology, when I'm just glad that we've reached a mutual understanding. But you're forgiven.

Yet you answered to what you referred as a "stupid" question, so what does that make you?

Bored and posting on random topics so I can get 500 cr points and then I can start a thread. Everyone here seems so serious, so I figured if I said anything slightly opinionated someone would quote me and give me an excuse to post again. Thank you predictable person

The only factor that prevents sex before marriage is religion.
As for me, I love sex........ xD

I see a healthy view of self and sexuality as part of being human. If someone is mature, with healthy expectations and respect for themselves and others, than engaging in sex with another person is alright whether they are married or not.

Sex itself is nothing to be so worked up over... or is it? I think the best approach is to see it for the simple thing it is, an expression of love which can bring life into the world with love. If that doesn't suit you, it may as well be a sleazy, one night stand in the back of a car.

You decide.
