For those of you who don't know Kevorkian was imprisoned for Euthanasia or assisted suicides which is the patients right to die. Imo Euthanasia should be aloud for example in cases like motor neurone dieses which is a horrible dieses that slowly kills off your nerves cells meaning you cant move east and eventually breath. This practice is aloud in Holland and i think some other European countries. Now do people think he should of been released and do you agree with Euthanasia (Their may be a topic already don't care diffrent kinda think sorta...)

Anyway my view is Euthanasia should be aloud because of the amount support from some disabled communities. For example diane pretty suffered from motor neurone and tried to get it legalized. Also these people suffer immense Pain and should have the right to choose when they die.

the only reason i will disagree with euthinasia is because it goes against the hippocratic oath that doctors must take. plus, can you imagine having to bear the thought of having helped kill all those patients? they may have been dying but still..

I'm all for euthanasia when its for the better good of the patient. Like after along battle with something painful and going to cause their death anyways.

Depends on what grounds he killed them. If he killed them without their consent then it's murder, and therefore he shouldn't be released. If it was consensual, I still see very low chances for him to get released as he did it in a place where it was unlawful.

I'm happy Kevorkian is finally getting released. I am pro-euthanasia. He was just trying to help people not feel pain anymore. If I was in horrific pain and dying anyway, I'd want it over quick.

I don't have a problem with him per se except for a few issues. First, not all of his patients he "helped" were goners. They had viable treatment options that had not been explored and had reasonable rates of success. He never even tries to get his patients to try them though and may never have discussed them. Two, it is highly suspected that he actually advised some of patients to commit suicide. No doctor should ever "encourage" that. Lastly, he did it somewhere that it was illegal. I could understand someone wanting to do euthanasia under certain circumstances but at least have the good taste to do it in a state where it is legal.
