have you considered turning the wireless switch on? some computers have a switch on the sides or on the back. Or right click the little computer picture on the bottom right of your screen and click on diagnose problems

make sure the wireless drivers are installed download the newest ones from the Dell Website and make sure the dell keyboard shortcut software is running or the functions won't work

The only thing that comes to mind is check though Google, or press the start button (3rd button from the left near the space bar) that shows your information and look under Network. =T

fn+f2? tht's a ghetto way to turn on your wireless rofl XD.... maybe it's your modem? it can be down for awhile, is your problem just for today did it happen on other days? well instead of using fn+f2 you should manually go to your wireless network and turn it on (or repair it)... there's also the case you should update your wireless drive (like what Snowburn77 said), and check your computer if it has any viruses or whatever... but you should use the program that your router installed in your comp. and use that to access the internet automatically (type the security code if you have too)... Your computer should connect to your router without a problem, and your router should set it to go on wireless... and if not then i suggest you re-install your computer to your router and make it set so tht your comp. automatically connects to the internet, or have it so that u can easily connect to the internet manually (i dunno about your router, but my router is pretty easy to use after you work with it awhile)
