So I figured I would try to post a topic for those of us who are a little more grown up and intelligent. I thought perhaps that this might provide a way for us to find out more about each other, and perhaps help anyone that is having any difficulties deciding what to take.

I have already completed a degree. I have a 3 yr BSc degree with a Major in Biology. Although I've taken a wide variety of courses besides biology ones like chemistry, and english writing courses. In this topic, we can discuss what we have taken, what we are taking, or for the younger ones what they think they might take, and stuff like that. It would be hard to pick a fav class for me. But the worst class I have ever taken is Organic Chemistry. It's not just the professors because I've taken it twice, it is the material. Very tricky stuff to master.

Anyways, I look forward to other posts hopefully. And hope that it won't degenerate into a talk about random stuff like some of the latest topics.

Well, I'm taking Statistical Calculus for Life Science Major (Math 3C), Chemistry 14 series, and Introductory History as a general education class. Planning to major in MIMG so this would probably be the optimal schedule for the first quarter : )

lol you are 15 though according to the line under your name. So you must only be entering high school or something right now. So I wouldn't worry about it too much yet. I'm not sure how the school systems are run for high school students in the states but I didn't get much choice for my classes in high school.

This thread isn't even that intelligent, why aren't we talking about quantum mechanics, and some of he flimsy laws of the 4th dimension of time!

Now you're intelliegent. Obviously, the threadstarter did't want to talk about those things. He even gave the thread a title which states exactly what he wanted to talk about. On top of that, he said in his first post that the discussion shouldn't be allowed to sway from the original subject. Make your own thread.

I'm currently in the German school system. It doesn't work quite the way the American/similiar school systems do - you can't choose between any biology classes for example. Either you have biology or you don't. I actually prefer the American way, having the courses split up according to the level of the students. If something interests me I have to stay after school and talk to my teachers (who mostly forward my questions ideas, though I don't know to whom) or hang around the campus of Freiburg University inorder to meet someone (seriously you guys have it good *_*).

@ Wildkat2: What do you plan on doing with a major in biology? Corporate research?

Not me a physics student like myself. :D

Exploring the complexities of shrodinger's equation is just as stimulating as watching anime or playing games for me. I win 10000000 geek points now

To ak5: Well first of all I'm a girl lol
You called me a "he" throughout your post lol.

About my Biology major, yes, I do hope to get into laboratory research hopefully to do with microbiology, studying viruses and diseases and such. Right now, I am working with a company called Hill Top Research, but the location in Canada mostly only deals with research into personal care products like soaps and stuff. Plus, it's only part time work. Not really exactly what I'd like to be doing. So I plan to try to go back to school and take a Medical Laboratory Technologist program through one of the colleges here. I'm hoping that will give me an advantage in applying to labs here where I live.

And to the quantum mechanics people, no I'm not biased against physics. I do think it has its interesting moments. However, if you want to start a debate about it starting another thread might be a good idea. Thanks to all who have posted so far
