I took Russian at a college and then a university for the last year and a half. My last professor was intense; she gave us so much work that no one was able to keep up with it. It felt like torture. I had even less time to work on Russian than my classmates... I was sure I was going to fail, but I pulled off a B.
Thanks to all that Russian I already have 19 credits so I think I'm not going to go to university until next January (I'd rather not graduate early). Holla@traveling. |

the program i was in is called Digital Media Arts at Seneca College basically, they teach you various programs that you would use in the media industry such include: photoshop, illustrator, flash, director, final cut, dvd studio, dreamweaver, 3d studio max, some html, some javascript, and an audio editing program (i forgot the name of) all in all, i learned all that in the 2 year program and now i'm switching to university |

I'm debating going a more computer science route depending on how I like my first year of engineering technology. So far... I'm undecided as to whether I like it. I can tolerate it, and the market is good, but I'm certainly not in love with it, though I haven't really gotten into any of the cool stuff yet. |

i started college this year but i have no idea what i want to do... i applied as a biomedical engineering major but i'm kind of debating whether or not i want to stick with it since i'm worried about getting jobs with that degree and my science skills are very... subpar. so i'm basically undeclared right now.... but not officially.

i'm at red-brick uni now, studying for a bachelors in Politics with International Relations. so far i've just finished the 1st semester this yr. did modules like Era of Total war and Conflict, Terrorism and Security and for some incomprehensible reason History and Thought of the Early Church (when i could have taken 20th Cen Dictators or even a modern language, but it's really fun).
i 've always known this was the right right course for me. still, it was daunting when we were introducing ourselves. people in my tutorial groups all stated their A level courses as History, Law, Politics and Psychology. i was the only one who did Eng Literature, Media and Film. kinda embarassing! but i manage to do most of the reading etc so i dont feel left out or anything (u can manage to pick up useless bits of history and politics with media and film u know) i'll probably be one of those people who wants to be a student for life, not because of the parties, but because i love learning, the reason i started so late at uni was coz i took a gap yr and worked and my brain cells slowly dried up. thankfully i put a stop to it before i loose all brain matter anyway at my Uni my tutors and profs are all really helpfull. they dont want any of us to fail (i know it affects their standing at the Uni) but generally they seem to care more for the students themselves. their all like 'come see me', 'come see me' even if you dont need to see them! it helps that universities in the UK are all government (well except for 1). and you all know its a Welfare State. i dont have to pay for my tuition and loan until i earn a certain amount of money, which is fantastic coz i come from a big family (my older and younger sisters are in uni as well, and i still have a baby bro and sis at home). so basically i dont wanna bollocks it up. i'm certainly trying hard cos i wanna work for the UN and they only accept the best! |

Hi all,
I've completed my Bachelor of Medical Science in 2004 I major in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases but then I took up Master in Agriculture (Research) and got my degree in 2005. Don't ask why I change it's just opportunity. Recently I'm doing 2nd year of PhD. My project is about polymorphisms and production of antibodies against wheat serpins. It's under agriculture but I'm pretty much doing biochemistry (protein work) and immunology (immunisation and production of antibodies). |

I have a question actually. I'm a little stuck on this, but I want to apply for a university course at Princeton University called Quantitative Principles in Cell and Molecular Biology. Only problem is that I'm only going to be a senior in high school next year. Anyone take something like that to give me some advice?
