I find it so interesting that there are such a wide range of degrees. I've always been curious how some people figure out which degree they want to go into. I'm graduating from Texas Tech University in May, a little over a month from now. I'll be getting my BFA in Communication Design from the School of Art. It's basically graphic design, but it allows you to go into more specialized design fields.

Wow, everyones degrees are really interesting. Well, more than mine at least.

Right now i'm double majoring in International Business and Japanese. I switched from Computer Engineering to Business and picked up Japanese just for the pure love of it. I'm leaning more towards Japanese because i want to be an Interpreter/Translator. But I believe that having knowledge of the business world is a great skill to have.

Good luck to everyone out there. You know you got it.

I took a lot of foreign language b/c it was required to be fluent in another language for my major. Unfortunately, I no longer remember a single thing! It's all emptied out of my head. I'd have to say however that the art classes I took were the ones I had the most fun in. Pottery classes rock! Anyways, my advice is to always make sure you take at least one class you really enjoy every semester b/c it makes the semesters more bearable. I totally felt unhappy about college b/c I always felt so rushed and I always felt like I had to stick to the classes for my major or else I'd never graduate.

OMG, I so sympathize with Wildkat2. XD

I just graduated with a degree in the science of biology, and my most hated class was organic chemistry also. Below that, it would go to biochemistry. Wahaha! Although my grades in chemistry, in general, are okay, I think I hated the two subjects because my teachers just sucked. And I'm not going into the whole "just 'cuz I failed it, it's the teacher's fault" - It's just that the teachers were not very compatible with how I study. Ugh. I hope people know what I'm talking about.:P

I'm going to school right now with Biology as my major and I might do psychology/theatre as minors

I think I'm leaning towards being a zoologist right now, animal psychology perhaps...My least favorite class so far had to be microbiology...so boring lol and I thought I loved all that is biology...

*shock* I've been ignoring this thread as i was so sure i would have posted on it already! Hehe anyway:

Taken- Like basically everyone here i've taken GCSE's (12) and a few Key Skills

Taking- My beloved IB! ^-^ (CR groans 'here she goes again'). If you don't know what it is then it's short for 'International Baccalaureate'. I take six subjects of my choice: English, Psychology, Biology, Maths, Art, Spanish. I also do TOK (Philosophy) and a general extended essay (i did it in Piaget)
Oh oh but the fun bit is CAS! (Creative Action Service). I have to do 150 hours of them in total so it encourages me to go out and do lots of things! I've done sponsored walks, volunteering, teaching, art workshops, pilates, choir and loads of other more random stuff!
It's hard work but i enjoy all the subjects and since i prefer to study a variety of things, it's perfect! (Don't get me started on the fun of a tiny class of people from all over the world! ^-^)
My favourite subjects; Psychology, Spanish, Biology and TOK ^-^.
(Exams soon! Then University where i can post here again!)

Dropping out of college my first year WOOT!

I'll try a vocational school for my Computer Networking Technician certifications. School has always blown, but my family pressured me to go to college(first generation and all that hoopla).

A Junior told me like it is: "College is like jumping through hoops and employers want to hire someone who has proven they can jump through hoops." To which I replied, "I am not a dog."

Haven't been to class in a week and a half...now to tell my psycho mom.
