No, it's not an addiction.
Also unless he straight out told them that he was leaving her because of hentai it is incredibly unlikely that was the real reason why their relationship broke up. Chances are that was simply a convenient target for them because they refused to believe that it may have been because of the way they were acting, maybe even in reaction to that hobby.
