I was browsing around yahoo answers and I saw this http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=A0WTZVI8HHZMfQQAyw0O7RR.;_ylv=3?qid=20100825231243AAnA0Ez

and I realized how true this is. Back in my highschool, all the koreans would form their own little group, (other asians who liked korean culture would also hang around with them) and for some reason, it seems like koreans have like their own little thing where we're all a big family (when I was buying my iphone, I talked korean to my mom and the guy servicing us gave us a discount on our monthly payment and also gave us a free case each lol) I have korean pride, I cheered so hard during the world cup I actually nearly burst a blood vessel ( not even exaggerating, I had to take it easy for a week ) but during highschool, I was like the "rebel korean" and hung out with the white people. I would talk with other koreans of course, but we weren't really good friends, just school friends.

well my point is, do you guys see this in your school too?

Your link sent me to the cr home page.

And yes, it was like that in my school for many people. I thought it was unneeded since my high school was very diverse. It was nice though that a few teachers there caught notice and tried to integrate the students together, so some can make a friend of a different culture and etc.

Lol yes. Most definaltely. Alot of the koreans (not a bad thing I'm one of em in fact) talk to each other using Korean at times and hang out with other Koreans for the most part I mean for me personally I'm like part if the "Korean group" in school and friends with other people. A ha ha's I just get along with people well so I'm in many friends groups but yes. One of them happens to be that exclusive little group of Koreans and it's for the most part marked Koreans only~ it's rlly weird lol. And that's coming from an insider and dude I completely agree with the whole one big family thing. When I go to places that aren't like Asian and if Korean people are working there they sometimes offer me discounts or are very friendly. Or random Korean strangers are very friendly too (sometimes dudes get a little too friendly >.>) but N-e-ways back to my point. Lol. I completely 100% agree with u.

Well this korean lady at the skate center asked my friend "Hey what kind of asian are you?" and when he told her he was filipino, she started laughing like the "awww too bad" kind of laugh...

Kinda creepy, we didn't even know her...

your link is so not working for me bro. it says "question deleted" but yes there are some at my school who stick together, (maybe similar with @T-Rish. a small number of them together and then surrounded by other asians.) its not cuz they're racist or anything i think its just cuz they find it easier to speak korean but i'm not sure why those other asians are there though maybe interested in their culture like u said... but those who speak english really well (like most common example are of those born here or grew up here) are scattered to different groups. u know like "its your choice." kind of thing. they're not what i would call "rebel korean(s)" cuz i guess really depends on which language ur more comfortable with.
