I'm waiting for my boss to retire/die (whatever comes first) so I can claim his position and have even more power to lord over my coworkers.

I've also had this really weird feeling the past couple of days, like i'm too comfortable in my life right now and everything is going too smoothly. I used to get this feeling a lot when I was younger but haven't had it come up for several years now. I don't like it, it feels like something bad is inevitably going to happen. I guess i'm waiting to either be proven right or have the feeling leave on its own.

Not the case with me, usually it's right when I stop expecting something bad to happen that something bad happens.

If I can keep this feeling that something bad is about to happen going indefinitely i'll probably never have anything bad happen to me again. Of course i'd have to live my entire life with a lingering sense of dread which makes it seem like a much less appealing trade-off.

That's happened to me a few times as well. I think something bad is about to go down and it's almost always work related. Then as soon as I think I was just being paranoid BAM something shitty happens like getting laid off. Now I just try not to sweat things I can't control, but that is definitely easier said than done. I hope you're just anxious and nothing bad happens....
