It's been said many times in these forums. There are plans for it, and there may be a possibility that by the end of there year there will be one.
Check the forums there is already a thread about the android app already.

I guess I need to stop my subscription for awhile. I don't mind paying for CR, but I DON'T have Android 2.2 YET on my Droid X. Plus, I would rather watch the video in something other than SD (at least 480p).

And yes they say they are working on it, but it's been "mumm" with no updates, no alphas or betas to report on. I love my Droid X and have integrated it more extensively into my data and entertainment needs.

So, with no app for the Droid means CR access is very limited for me now, even to the point of considering stopping my monthly paid subscription.

If CR would toss us a bone or something, then maybe I wouldn't be discouraged on having to wait in silence.

Phht, Android users don't need no stinkin' app. I can already do videos straight from the website on 3G with the Froyo update.

Just use the mobile site you greedy bastards just because its not as user friendly and stuff who gives a flying fuck, so you are saying shinji made the site for no fucking reason if you to go to the mobile site you can watch 720p videos.

I like the m.crunchyroll better then the app.

SO STOP BEING SO FUCKING GREEDY AT LEAST YOU COULD WATCH HD VIDEOS ON YOU PHONE

Also All Androids devices including MyTouch 3G Slide is getting android 2.2 which includes flash all phones should get them in a months tops.

Hey idiot,

-The mobile site does not have 720p videos.
-Not all Android devices will get Android 2.2.
-Even if a phone does get 2.2 and Adobe Flash, older phones with slow processors and/or lack support for H.264 video acceleration won't be able to play the low resolution Flash videos at m.crunchyroll.com smoothly.
-Adobe's current mobile Flash implementation may be more optimized for mobile devices but it's still very resource intensive. The streaming video protocol the app uses doesn't use Flash and requires less resources.
-If Crunchyroll does provide an Android app, they would benefit by getting more users and possibly paid ones too.
-You shouldn't put down legitimate requests.

OK Its 480p but really whats the difference?

Also if they do get an App it would require Android 2.2 anyway because Google are idiots and want new apps to only work on new versions.

So just wait a year or two when you contract expires and get a New Android App

Also Crunchyroll said they are changing the mobile site to HTML5 So you might not even need to get a new Phone.

Every mobile phone has HTML5 Every device does.

Also HTML5 Doesn't even take up a quarter of the amount Adobe flash does so just wait while they implant HTML5 Which should be soon and you are all set ebven a 128MB Phone won't take that long to load up HTML5 Videos. 128MB is the amount of ram the original IPhone had.

It is at 480p if they put it at 720p you phone would die in an hour so it is 480p

Also Android 2.2 is coming in less then 10 days verizion said droid x is getting the update in early september so the middle of september is september 15th so before september 15th it should have it, on Wifi it won't lag at all I tryed it on droid incredible and droid x has a better processer so droid x will work better then Incredible and I didn't even see any problems.

Droid X on 3g not so much every 3G phone is horrible you can't even play any site on flash with a 3g phone, it will play but each video will require about a minute of buffering.

Can't wait till Verizion get 4G. So Yeah you will be getting Adobe flash and Android 2.2 in 10 days also I have a Droid X to!!

Hello
On IOS app

Is there a problem with the videos working over 3G? the video quality and subs are great but after a few mins the quality goes crap and subs can't be read. This is only happening to the new eps with hard subs, even with wifi connection still does it. While old titles/episodes that only works on wifi with soft subs works with consistent video quality/subs. I don't know if this is because due to the new format or what but it's annoying closing the video 3-5x and fast forward to the section where you left off to just to fix the issue. I know the app is only in alpha stage but it is definitely nice on 3G but I hope this bug gets resolved.

Great. But I still don't like using the app, the quality is crap and the loading can be frustrating.
