Persona 4 starts on 2011.04.11 -- I just restarted playing it

And I've written a review on Persona 3 Portable

I have replayed Persona 3 multiple times and I couldn't replay Persona 4 once. I think I was able to do that because P3 was somewhat fresh when I played it the first time and I like all of the characters. Persona 4 characters just bored me and I didn't like the specialized dungeons compared to Tartarus. I liked only one character in P4 and considering the fact that I can't even remember their name shows how little I cared for the game.

To me, climbing one big tower is much more addicting and it gave me a sense of accomplishment during each play through. P4's dungeons felt more like a chore when you started at the lowest levels after each successful clear. I can see how people will also feel a sense of accomplishment for clearing a single dungeon, but I do believe the addictive quality is in grinding through the levels of the tower.

When I recommend one of the games to people I tell them to get Persona 4 if they don't have a PSP. Not because I like it more, I just think they would like it more.

To me, P4 is much more human than any of the 3s, and funnier. I can relate to the characters more

Here's a scary thought... the events in Persona 4 start around April 2011. In other words, right around now. I hope there's no real life events that parallel anything which happens in the game.

Your thinking WAAAYYY to much into this.

I remember P3 FES eing my first SMT game, then getting P4 a few months later. They restored my love of JRPG's, considering the only one I had really managed to enjoy in the few years before had been FF12. The only thing I hated about them was that I then felt compelled to track down and obtain all other smt games availaible in english... and that hurt my wallet and my social lifeeven further.

Oh, and Nocturne is hard as balls . Stil fun though.

PERSONA 3 FTW!!! Though I personally hated Persona 4 mainly because of how they summon their persona's...
The gun shooting theme in 3 really had a good affect and it made sense but the card crushing... yeah... did not make sense at all... though I liked how in 4 you can choose all moves for all team members <3 really helps, good thing for P3P too >:D

Persona series= WIN.

I like P3P a lot, I haven't played 4, but that's because my PS3 isn't backwards compatible... Plus, I didn't really give the series a try when I had my PS2. Regret it, but I honestly heard good things about the 4th one.

I recommend using at least one of the guides on GameFAQs. As much as I liked Persona 4, I found it quite challenging. The game doesn't give the player a lot of useful information (how to find NPCs in order to unlock shadow dungeons, how to avoid a bad ending in the November events, how to figure out the suspect...). You'll probably need an FAQ or two in order to discern enemies' weak points, and avoid instant death spells.

Haha, I've been following a few guides on that site. It's helped me a lot with the social links. Problem is I started playing on normal and as I care more about story rather than grinding (ugh... hate grinding) I would just rush through dungeons.

So when I got to yukiko's you can guess I was pretty much eaten up. I probably have to start over again in easy mode ~__~

I got passed that recently myself. I ended up accidentally deleting my data somehow after, so I have to start over... made me put the game aside since. Normal isn't really to hard either. Just make sure you have diverse magic, and examine each enemy (color and ect.) that may tell you what the weakness is. Once you find out the weakness, try to knock down every shadow and use the all out attack. That's not always the best strategy, but it works most of the time. Battles can end pretty quick if you do it the right way. But I know what you mean. I start nodding off while I go through the dungeons myself, lol.

yeah I hate that deja vu feeling after you play through a part of the game and then have to re-play it.
I know in easy mode you can 10 continues with no loss to gameplay or story so its really a win-win for me here :P
Also I ran out of items and stuff in the dungeons. So I ended up having no items or equipment to use and it was the last that I had to save Yukiko or else It was game over.

So yeah I messed up big-time
