Lord of the Rings online is f2p and Pretty fun. Also a great world to play in if you are a fan of the books / movies. Good pve / rp game, terrible pvp though. They just put it up on steam I think.

EverQuest II and DDO are pretty good. I like them, at least.

I've played a range of MMO/RPG's but for some reason I just cannot get into those types of games. The fun is always when you're a high level, the quests are repetitive and being social is mainly at the market place when you're trying to sell something.

Path of Exile, Game play wise, better than D3. Looking forward to it's release.

Drakensang Online!! No download, 3D graphics, Multiplayer. Basically you have three classes: Barbarian, Mage and Hunter. And do quests, find weapons, money and treasure, All the classes have different attributes. Also its 100% free unless you want to buy special in game stuff

I have played D&D Online for a few months and it was quite good.
It had voice acting, an older generation of fans and a good selection of classes and skills.

But it was disappointing for a d&d game it had broken up the adventure into many side quests that I found very hard to solo play and many of the players I joined were dead weight.
And the grinding wouldn't have been as bad if there were more variety of missions.

Would anyone like to suggest a low res f2p mmorpg for me?
one that doesn't punish solo players. something similar to diablo with more variety
not rune scape or realm of the mad god - I want better res than those

was considering dungeon fighter ad elsword
Eudemons Online looks good, too

Try Continent of Ninth, so far it's not too bad. It's a fast paced mmorpg dungeon style.

That permadeath sort of reminds of Sword Art Online. It makes me want to play this even more.
