Reborn~ And it will be, if the anime stops with filler and annoying-ness? XD idk. I wish the anime art would keep improving.

If we are talking about the same type of genre as the top 3....which is shounen.....then it is HANDS DOWN......Fairy Tail. I can guarantee you if Fairy Tail reaches the amount of episodes of ANY of the big three.....it will surpass that anime in popularity

However Hitman Reborn should probably be included too. Though Fairy Tail is 100x better than Hitman Reborn will ever be.

Also....Hitman Reborn will NEVER pass the other 4 shounen titles unless one of them ends. (Im judging this by the anime...not the Manga)

This is how I judge the top 5...in order from best to....well 5th best.

1. One Piece
2. Naruto Shippudden
3. Fairy Tail
4. Bleach.
5 Hitman Reborn

Number 2 and 3 can be switched around I guess. Maybe even Bleach at the moment is better than Fairy Tail....so it maybe can move back up to 3rd. But I can guarantee you.....if Fairy Tail continues over 100+ episodes....its going to reach One Piece status or even surpass it

If Hitman Reborn makes it....its only because it has a ton of episodes. If we are talking about the actual content....it will NEVER make it.

Fairy Tail is just too much better than Reborn. Anyone who has watched all the episodes of either anime will know this

this topic is good!

First of all.... To all of you ignorant people this is called THE NEXT BIG ANIME so the next ones wont be listed:

Reborn <-- Horrible show that never ends..

Conan <-- The show is really old (respect for that) I used to watch it when I was a kid. A while ago I went to check it out, I found out that they havent progressed almost at all since 2000.

There are more horrible shows but im not gonna list them...

and now the next big anime shows:

Gintama <-- Is one of the best comedy anime shows ever to exist. And I really dont know why the idiots had to take it away from us!

D. Grey Man <-- I'ts an ongoing popular manga that never seems to end. I'm pretty sure in few years or less it will be back on screen.

Fairy Tail <-- Is still a mystery. It has its story and every now and then they come up with weird side stories that last very long.

there is more...

to be fair they the the big 3 ongoing anime that kind of suck because ongoing anime get so boring. they not the best anime they might be big but they not the best. there where load of anime that where good and big just because it end people say that its then over. Toradora was probably one of them well to me it was one. there also Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu what was very good and they making season 2 but i dont know if its known well. The vampire bund was also very good but once again dont think its known that much. to be fair msot good anime are very unknown. its stupid how only ongoing anime that go on for year are the only anime to be considered the best or good when the anime that had only 12-24 or higher episode are so good. to be fair i never found an on going anime i actually liked because most of them just get dull and boring and repeat them self's and then end up ruin the anime together

. one i thought where good if they did ongoing are hayate no gotoku as long they dont follow the manga. inukaima and also love hina and spice and wolf what is the best slice of life according to youtube comment. but its still very good if it was ongoing anime it would be very popular. also if prism ark did that as well because prism ark had good story line just they never really did the story, they kind of ruined it by just making it about the past then go back to the future and it end not showing if they ever beat the evil empire. even do most people want it to carry on.

Reborn won`t be the next big long runner, that one is gonna be an underdog until it ends :P

I read some rumours that Gintama is going to be continued sometime, so if that is true, it`s going to be the next big one too.

That. Would. Be. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hajime no Ippo could have destroyed them all, but the anime didn't take for whatever reason. It's currently over 900 chapters. Detective Conan, too for that matter, though the anime might still be going for that one. (700+ chapters)

Detective Conan is still going strong as an anime in Japan, and in fact consistently outperforms both Naruto Shippuden and Bleach in TV ratings. In the U.S., however, it has consistently performed poorly, both on TV and in DVD sales. It is just one example of how tastes in anime can differ greatly from one country to another.

I never understood how the cast in detective conan could have SO MANY friends, relatives, work mates, or people they meet, that just HAPPEN to get murdered, and the incident always seem to take place when and where they are at!!! Just because you are a detective doesn't mean every joe shmo you meet or know gets offed right after you see them.

The current season or the next is said to be the last. I think the manga has already ended.

Standard fare for these type of shows, and live action shows in the U.S. are no exception. Murder, She Wrote was an infamous example of this.

I keep waiting for a series where the one solving the crime is outed in the finale as a mass murder that killed most of the people, and framed the persons they "proved" committed the murders in each case.
