It has recently been announced at PAX '10 that developer Gearbox Software and publisher 2K Games will finally release Duke Nukem Forever next year, with this playable demo as further proof. I'm sure it's common knowledge at this point that this game has been in developmental hell for 13 years because of 3DRealms dragging their feet and a new game engine coming out right as they get serious about finishing it. Even so, I feel Gearbox will do a phenomenal job of finishing this game and releasing it to the public next year. They should give the game a more 2011 kind of feeling by the time its finished so it doesn't feel like we are stuck playing an ultra pretty rehash of Duke Nukem 3D(Not that it wasn't a great game for its time!). As long as they keep everything we have come to love about Duke and add more enjoyable features, this game will rock. I anxiously await more news that will detail the specs and features of the game.

Any thoughts from fellow Duke Nukem fans?

My cousin would like that. He loves Duke Nukem. It's okay to me.

Duke Nukem 64 is still one of my favorite FPS games. Owning this game is going to be like owning a miracle though. I'll still be amazed when it actually comes out.
