The argument "it kills" is the most worthless argument...I ever hear. ANYTHING can kill you in excessive amounts; the problems with drugs are their side effects and the fact that users become addicted and reach the lethal dose of the drug.

Wow, arano. Ayahuasca? Wow.

yes i know,it was insane!take mescalin and make it ten times more intensive.
that was definitely my limit.i took one step too far with that one.

You guys make it sound like one drag of a joint will hook you and you'll eventually die.
Well, you will eventually die, but not because of the drugs, except for addicts and idiots. Most of you seem to only have a vague idea of drugs being more dangerous than other things, but you have no overview of the different classifications, effects, side-effects etc.

Some drugs can get you addicted fast, yes. But definetely not all of them. I smoked the first cigarette when I was about 9 and I guess I'm addicted to cigarettes, they are my favorite drug ever. I smoked weed for the first time when I was 12 and by now I've completely lost interest in it. You'd never get me to spend money on it. I tried crack once or twice too and several other drugs, it was a waste of time, but it was out of curiosity and it didn't hurt to try. Of course, that's because I'm me and not an idiot, so I'd never recommend it to anyone else, but stop whining about something you can't measure at all

A lot of you guys who condemn smoking for example, drink alcohol. Now I know it depends on how much and how often you drink, so it'd be pure idiocy to say it'll kill you for sure, but that goes for most drugs as well.

Dunno if anyone knows, but drugs can date back to the ancient times, when priests and other people inhaled the smoke and stuff for religious ceremonies.

But smoking and drugs are bad for you, they are addicting and once you start you can't stop. I will never ever smoke or do drugs in my life.

No lol. smoking yes but some drugs no. I've done weed, coke and mushrooms before and they werent addicting. stop the mentallity that one toke and ur hooked. thats just bs.

I've never tried drugs, so I wouldn't know if they were or not, that's just what I was taught for 5 years -.-

Drugs make you feel good so i can understand why people use them. I've
But i don't understand why people start smoking, because the first time you light a cigarette it almost always makes you feel sick and the pleasure you get out of it is to small for me to start smoking.

there are no benefits from smoking only ppl who smoke say there are but its the nicotine talking, and yes smoking is expensive money that could be spent else where, and regardless of what a smoker will admit it does more damage then it could ever help them

anything that makes smoke annoys me, I hate being around it, smokers of anything aren't considerate at all

My brother was working at a drug rehab center for a little while. The kids there had difficulty with higher level thought and language skills. They also fought and didn't respond well, though what part of that was due to the location I can't tell.

I never got why alcohol was legal and marijuana wasn't. There are plenty of drugs that are illegal that won't cause any problems if used with moderation, but I've never met anyone who has had their "mind expanded" by taking drugs, or taken much out of them besides a temporary thrill.

Despite how much I dislike the bullshit fear campaigns of anti-drug PSAs, I do support the illegalization of drugs as a social filter. If you're intelligent and want to experiment with drugs you can easily synthesize some (toothpaste, cough syrup, bananas, tanning lotion), but you're not likely to become a burnout because of your experimentation. On the other hand if you join the drug scene which causes the problems some of the kids I met in the rehab center have, then hopefully the law can do something to help.

@rookierocky, i know~ smoking is a really expensive habit, although i plan to smoke when i get a stable and fairly nice job...i wont smoke until i get extra money that will allow me to afford cigs..
(thats actually my dream.... smoking HUGE~ tobacco with my feet up my desk in my huge office on the very top of the company's building....)
i'l give up my smoking when i get kids....or when my wife threatens me to choose either my cig or her....

if people want a shorter life and lose the money they make, then i guess the drugs really did eat up their brain. it's so bad and just not worth it!

I've heard some doctors actually tell their patients to drink to relieve stress. But that's not the problem here huh?
If it's drugs and smoking, people should avoid them at all costs. And stop those around you from smoking too. They say secondary smoke is more dangerous that first hand smoke... I'd rather they didn't take anybody down with them.
