I just got off the phone with Kana-chan, and she said she'd be willing to help you solve any problems you may be facing! Are'nt you lucky!

Noo, but seriously, everyone needs to vent now and again, so feel free to post your troubles away, or if not, feel free to sympathize with others, and maybe suggest a solution or two.

Remember! Try not to say anything hurtful while on this topic! How would you feel if YOU were in this situation?

Mark: "Hmmmm... 2 hours eh Aeris?

Well, I think it's probably less stressful than if you had a full workload the entire day. Maybe you should use that time to relax a bit, you know, read, or just draw or something. Are you any good at Sudoku?"

Kana: "Baka!! Aeris needs something exciting! Adventure! Excersize! Action!"

Mark: "Could she really do all that in her workplace?....."

Final Exams are coming up :(...What's the best method of cramming it all in your head at the last moment? Using flashcards one period before testing? Or actually looking at your notes the very moment you step in the classroom? Or doing it some other way?

keke... well, this depends on what kind of subject tested.

If it is a subject that demands lots of memorising and understanding, (like biology and history) then it will be better to look through the notes and start mentally repeat the points before exam to recap effectively. you can make a mindmap to link all the points together and to give yourself a better overview of the subject. Best way to make sure you have memorised them is to test yourself again about the previous chapters when you think you have moved on to the next chapter. Highlight all the important key points that you think might be difficult to memorise/understand, or even those that are most possible to come up for exams. you can even write short forms to help you memorise. or some funny phrases to link everything together.eg. in the topic of evolution, how organisms are categorised under different taxons - binomial nomenclature: Domain, Kingdom, Phyllum , Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species. So in order to memorise the taxons in correct sequence, you can form phrases like: Dumb King Penguin Climbed Over Frozen Grassy Slopes, with the first alphabet corresponding to the names of the taxons. so usually i can afford to push myself to the limit- 6 hours of sleep the day before exams. afterall the exams are only testing about how much you memorised.

But you can't afford to miss quality sleep if the subject is maths that requires lots of practice and logical thinking, and it is better to let your brain get warm up and funny awake before the exam starts, for eg. start doing strict time practice on a last years paper to give yourself a sense of urgency and more time conscious. then you will be more prepared to finish up the exams on time. so before the exam starts, instead of just reading maths textbooks, start doing time practice and get yourself comfortable under time-constraint.

Well most importantly is to get your basics strong. Because in most exams papers, the most difficult qns are actually based on to most basic fundamental principle, it is only the way the qns phrased that makes it difficult or confusing. thats how you solve trick qns. also, the best way to make sure you can complete all your revision on time is to plan ahead. set a target that for the last three days before the exams you must at least finish memorising/practising 5 topics a day. give youself buffer time like extra 3-5 hours for each day, just in case you might be unable to finish your target due to sickness for example. Because if you fail to plan, you are in fact planning to fail.

Studying is one thing but the most crucial time lies on the time when you start doing your papers. always try to complete your paper before the time limit, so that you can do checking. do all the difficult qns only after you have completed the easier ones. If a qns takes up lots of marks, den finish it first to secure yourself marks. for my papers, i start doing the essays first before structured qns because essays takes up more marks and it requires more of 'vomitting' out facts. this is because the first few mins of the exams are the time when your memory is at best condition because you're less panicky compared to the last mins of exams.

well most importantly is to relax and enjoy the exam. too much of stress takes up lots of energy also. there's lots of other exams tips but i guess i'll stop here XD

I heard of the first tip when you make a weird phrase for memorization and it actually works so I usually do that one. These are really good tips too. The problem is that I'm really lazy so I probably can't push myself that well. What really troubles me is Physics, its all formulas and its tough to memorize too. I'm too sure, but I think all of my exams are mainly multiple choice so it won't be that hard. I'll try doing time practice, I'm really slow at writing too so it'll be good practice. Thanks for all of the tips!

Good luck!
If you have to, stop studying in order to get enough sleep!
Sleep is vital if you want your brain to perform it's best!
