Since someone in the Cataclysm thread said they played the beta but wasn't going to buy it when it came out, and gave ABSOLUTELY NO DETAILS as to why, I thought I'd start this thread.

I don't know how many people even got into the beta testing, but if you've played it, please share your thoughts.

I don't want to ruin things for those who look forward to it, that is why i decided not to give out to much information (Much can still change before it goes public).

And we are lucky enough to have been selected randomly from the huge playerbase that has signed up it on their respective battle.net accounts.

I got into the beta through my work. Boss went to the GameStop conference and there was a guy from Blizzard there handing out beta keys so he got me one. Wee!

The goblin starting zone is pretty awesome. I like the story-line they got going on thus far. But since I've joined there's been a lot of problems with the goblin quests. Quest givers disappearing or not there, etc.

The Worgen are alright. I'm still not sure how much I like them as a race. The cinematic they have of you transforming wasn't in yet when I created one, but I don't know. I lost interest in playing the Worgen and went back to the Goblin lol.

I finally copied over one of my characters and one of their premades and have been flying around Azeroth checking out the differences. Slowly things are changing, but it still doesn't feel like they're close to being done with all the bugs I find... I dunno. We'll see!

But thus far? I like it.

Personally for me I play a Fury Warrior. The mechanics behind the class are changing to an extent that I may not even want to play that class anymore. Rage generation feels really sluggish even with my ridiculous gear from WotLK. I'm going to play the game still, and see if I can get back into liking the warrior class, but its just not the same. Its new, and will take getting use to in every aspect of the game. It almost feels like a completely different game, but with the same classes if that makes any sense.
