I've read quite a few with bad translations in the.... many years of my manga-reading. ~_~"
But it's sometimes better than nothing...

You know what's worse? Bad editing AND bad translations.
Though we honestly still can't blame them. At least they tried!

I just love bad translations! They make the manga 10x better!

ex. "Things that worried me,, some say its extravagance but not for me. Even in pants its really stand out and make me embarrassing."
"I've brother that has same worried"

Those examples would stump just about anyone and make them go "wtf?".

I have come across several actually, and the chibi vampire manga was up there for a few chapters.

Yeah, there are many! But if you're at the pit of desperation, you're gonna have to settle with what's there. Haha! Anyway, at least they did try and I appreciate the effort.

Yeah, the Sailor Moon manga went really liberal with things...It sucked when I had to start reading official scans and couldn't read the awesome fan translations

RAVE. I read all 296 chapters recently... they did a horrible job with translation. it was misspelled and even poor or nonexistent grammar at times. Good manga still though.

i went to manga fox right after reading this thread and looked at the one-shots since they are usually the worst translated first one i clicked on, towa ni nemure "Hurry up. I demand you leave us the boat to get out of here" not the most clearly written translation. yeah the online places have really bad translations for the smaller less well known mangas.

Yeah, I had read a romance manga with awful translation. I just forgot what manga it was. Because of that, I'm now reading scanlated mangas only from those scanlators me and my friends trust.
