My mom is Cuban and my dad is Indian, but I somehow turned out with white skin, light-brown hair, and one blue and one hazel eye. I actually do look like both sides of the family, I look like my dad's side of the family but with coloring from my mom's side. People don't understand that not all Cubans have tan skin, black hair, and brown eyes, so when I explain my heritage to people they're always shocked, especially when I throw the Indian in there. I usually avoid telling people what I am because I don't want to deal with all the stupid reactions
but I'm used to it by now. |
