Well, to tell you the truth, I'm not that good a mangaka but I studied about being one like a subject in school since I was 13 so I know a lot. If there's anything you need help with about creating a manga, just ask. I'll try my best to anwser it or you can give information you know about creating a manga to others.

I too am willing to give tips on what i can (cept toning since i'm still trying to get the hang of that myself). Here is one tip right off though. Use your favorite mangas for reference whenever you can. The best way to learn anything art wise is to look at how somebody else did it and try to figure out how they did it for yourself. Don't lose hope if you can't do something the first time you try it either. Everything takes practice just keep that in mind .

you don't necessarily need the screen tone things. Manga Studio is a program that has thousand of screentones that are ready to use and since it's on ther coputer you don't need to worry about toning technique or buying more.

yeah i know Manga studio is great. Thats what i use. Its just there are other ways to do it if that isn't the program you have and you dont want to send the cash on it.

And betsumi i wouldn't know anywhere to help out with paneling. I use Manga Studio so that has a panel making function in it and when i do pages by hand i did all the inking and paneling by hand and only used photoshop to do my lettering and coloring if needed. If you are using something like photoshop what you could do is use the shape tool to make a big shape of the panels you want to use. for straight lines all you have to do is hold down the shift button. that is if you are using photoshop. What do you use anyway?

Well if you want to get better at drawing different prospectives on your characters just look in your favorite manga or google some images and try to reproduce it. Thats some of the best practice you can get.

ditto.

Also, my main problem is that I have great stories (will there be a place to post these?) but I utterly lack any type of drawing abilities. I guess my question would be, are there any manga-kas who don't have a good story and would like to collaborate?

I think there does not exist such a thing as the "standard" way of drawing, because manga is art, not mathematical graphing. Therefore, one can draw in whatever way that satisfies one, and good result will come out for sure. Trust thyself! Put time and effort in it. The more one practices, the better one becomes.
