You can buy screentone at your local art stores but I have to warn you, Screentone can be a bit expensive.

Boy howdy can it. I thought about buying screen tone myself when i still did my comics by hand and once i saw how much i was looking at i decided to go with manga studio.

Also as far as i know i haven't seen any news of updates or new versions for people using vista that want to use MS. heard some people can get it to work but others can't so that kinda sucks.

You don't need any fancy program like Manga Studio to make screen tones. there a lot of brushes for photoshop that have the same effect. I remember when Manga studio was brand new and was nowhere to be found. And I still managed. You need 4 different types of tones, and some extra for specials scenes . But I say the more different tones you use on your series will make it very variating and that can be confusing and make it hard for people reading your series to get familiar with your style. If you can get your hands on Manga Studio, then go for it, But don't get sad if you don't. Photoshop is always the best option.

Yeah you can do tones in photo shop but they might not always do what you want them to. Just make sure if you do decide to try out screentones in PS that you put them in at the resolution that you plan to use the page so you don't get any unwanted surprises.

Nice hands... You'll probably need to learn that for a drawing book but here something from the "Lets Draw Group" below XD

Ok now that is a problem many an artist has come up against and the only advice i can really offer is this:

- Get some legit art books that actually teach perspective, not those crappy how draw manga books that seem to be a dime a dozen these days, but honestly you dont really need this its just an option that might help you understand perspective better.

- start trying to make master copies (basically try to reproduce an image exactly without tracing) of manga that have similar perspective or machine parts that you want to use in them.

- Actually get real objects to study for the parts you are trying to draw or find photos. reference is your friend.

- Get really friendly with rulers!

- lastly there is only one way to truly conquer this problem is P R A C T I C E. the more you practice your perspective the better you get at it simply is that. find a city scape irl or a long hallway or something with a lot of perspective and keep drawing.

anything other than this is a lot of trouble to write out so if you have any more specific problems just give me a holler and i'll see what i can help with.

happy drawing!

I do not really need help with my drawing. But I don't know what to draw? I really want a partner who does all the story writing for me.

Well, then find someone you can trust and is a good writer to be your partner. Like a friend or anyone else close to you. The odds of trusting a complete stranger to help you out all the way is 1/1000.

sadly i dont have a close friend who would be good at... but there is a girl in my class that i think would be pretty good at it, only i'm not close enough to her to ask if she would want to help... but i will still try. one of my motto's is: "Never give give up, never surrender! But u can make a tactical retreat to fight another day." and she was the only one who knew all of the anime and manga chibis that i put on my Valentines Day cards... then again she was the only one who knew any of them... but thats a good sign.

XD Alright go for it! Chat about anime, manga, and other stuff like that! Become friends with her! Get her as your partner! Create your first manga together and many more! Start going out! Get married and when you retire, you both can die old together!!! Well... that probably could happen but who knows ^/_\^

... does her asking for my signature on one of the drawings that I gave her help towards that goal, or is more towards a fan girl...
I like u... ur funny.. smart... and probably a great manga-ka in disguise... basically ur really helpful ^_^

Well, I don't know if I could give you a good answer to that question because I'm not in that girl's head. She could want your signature drawing to sell it in the future for a lot of money in the future if you ever become famous or she just likes your drawings and you so much that she wants something to remind her of you but... I have to say, if you do write your signature of one of your drawings for someone, let them do whatever they want with it (well except for ruining it or something like that). It won't hurt you or anything but that would make that person a jerk for giving or ruining something you worked so hard at.

Thank you very much but I'm really not a great Manga-ka in disguise, I'm a newbie like you and most of the people here. I'm also glad that my information could be useful to you ^/w\^ Once you find a good writing partner, I sure that you'll become a great manga-ka! XD

thanks... I'm may not have all the questions that I had when I join this group, but I do have many of them, but I can't expect others to help me with all my problems...

Have you managed to collaborate with that girl yet? ^_^ coz I have a mecha story that I have neither time nor expertise to draw...Someone is already helping me to do the mecha designs and I can give u a pg to pg text summary. PM me if you are interested
