Depends what type of country you live in:

Losing your virginity in US means nothing - not losing it means you're either pure or you just can't get laid

In some parts of Asia - losing it makes you unpure and dirty unless you lose it from your husband/wife.

Too many opinions to add - but in the end, no one would care.

It does cause a fuss between friends when you get laid, but its just a general gossip-prone subject and gossip gets old pretty fast.

for some people in the USA its a step into manhood, but yeah guys are often encouraged to have sex with as many girls as possible and brag about it. thankfully I have not given in to such a foolish task

For me, not really. I don't wish to rank or demote someone just because they lost their virginity.

It depends on the individual's morals.

not really =/ it shouldnt the fact that it might matter is immature as for those countries that it does eh its really none of other buisness now is it

Yeah, I agree with johnk. I'm considered pure because I'm one, but I have a ton of friends who've lost theirs and no one thinks anything of it. It's about WHO you sleep with -- not when you do.

Due to my religion I'm around people who think everything of their virginity. One of them is even afraid to ride a horse because she's scared she might lose her hymen. Honestly, I could care less. If you really like a person, I think it should be up to you on whether you want to make love to them or not. Religion and society regarding sex after marriage is overrated. Do what you think is right.

It does implicitly, but I don't judge someone solely on their sex life or lack there of.

Life doesn't change, nor does the world, after the loss of virginity. Sex is a temporary hit of neurochemicals between two people that isn't to be taken as the only thing worth doing in life. A scientist could tell you numerous things to demystify all the hype in sex. The potential risks are deadly or worse when precautions aren't taken when two people want to get jiggy, and all the emotions that go with it are extremely fragile. One false move can turn a steamy night of passion into a veritable life of Hell.

Yet, if partners are willing to take the right steps to create a true love life, they will be very happy for it.

I don't see why people make such a fuss over virginity. The whole concept is pointless.
