Would you buy stuff for the younger?
Posted 9/15/10 , edited 9/15/10
For ppl are 18 or older:
Would you buy Cigarettes; Alcohol; x-rated movies and dvds with strong violence and/or pornography for younger ppl?

For ppl under 18 years:
Would you ask olders to buy this stuff for you?

Personally I really wanted to have the "ninja assassin" dvd, went to the store and asked an older to buy it for me. he did.
also i noticed that many buyed alcohol or cigarettes for younger.

Buying them an R rated movie, or buying them their ticket for an R rated movie is fine. Since most likely they've already seen nude and violence on TV, internet, or else where.

But buying alcohol or cigs is a huge no no. I wouldn't want any retarded stranger buying my little brother any alcohol or cigs. Same goes if I ever had a child. So I'd respect that mentaliy and decline for their parents sake. They can effing wait until they're older or get their own parents to buy it for them. (Which btw, a lot of parents are willing to buy their underaged children alcohol or cigarettes. That's their decision as parents though, which I could care less.)

When I was under 18 - I always knew where to buy my cigarettes from. I'd buy them for my friends, too. Same with alcohol - I never had a problem getting it, so I never had to ask anyone.

I would never buy anything for kids who aren't supposed to have porn, violent dvds.. booze or whatever. You know what kind of fines I'd get slapped with? The cost of a lawyer alone is enough reason not to.

What an adult answer that was.

None of the hard stuff of course like drugs or cigarettes (I considered them evil). But beer is okay but only to 18ylds and older (you can join the military and kill people at 18 but you have to wait till ur 21 to drink doesn't make sense to me) . R- rated things are okay but I draw the line at porn.

Depending on the film and the younger one: Perhaps I would buy the DVD(s).

When it comes to the drugs (tobacco, alcohol etc.): No. I would probably not do this.

Depends who it is. I've bought cigarettes for a friend of mine before, and she was 16. I knew her for ages and that she was already in the habit, so meh. Plus until like 2 years ago the buying age for cigs here was 16 anyway.
I would get booze for my boyfriend or his friends as they're just shy of 18 now, I'm only about 6 months older than the majority of them.
I wouldn't need to get older rated films for a lot of people though, as more often than not they get sold them anyway.

However, if my sister (who's 14) asked me for alcohol I'd be hesitant, and if I were to get her anything (still not likely) it would never be anything stronger than an alcopop. DEFO no vodka for her. To be fair she steals that much from my "stash" in the garage anyway. (Not my fault. Mum buys me lots of alcohol and I never need to drink it so it piles up in the garage and no one notices if a few bottles go awry)
And if a first year was asking me for cigarettes I'd have to turn them down... I'd be more like "Cigarettes? WTF You're like 12. You should still be playing with dolls. GTFO"

And before I was 18, I'd still ask older friends to buy me alcohol. Never needed nor wanted anything else restricted.

Though, ironically, the girl I had got cigarettes for sometimes had to get me caffeine. The place where it's cheapest has an age limit of 16 for high caffeine drinks.
She looks her age. I look like 14. So if I forgot my driving license I was fucked.

The only time I'd consider doing anything like that is if my son or daughter were going off to the military or some other service thing where I might not see them on their 21st birthday. Then we'd pop a beer together.

But everything else just encourages kids to disrespect civil authority and the authority of their parents. I wouldn't want someone to do that with my kids, so I'd never do it to someone else.

Interesting question; guess it always depends on the kid......
If the kid is in some way looking to define one self, it would be fun to give him a heavy cig and cause trauma so he'll never do it again.....
Booze ditto, though I feel like the kid will still enjoy that feeling.
I guess I'd teach em to drink responsibly, 's better than experimenting with that on your own.
And when I say kid, I don't mean a 3 year old, we're talking 14-15 and up
