GG sir Did you miss this part?: "..., even if that payment is in the form of watching commercials." Of course, if you hadn't ignored that, your "...not everybody has money to throw away watching anime you can get for free" argument would have rang hollow. Even disregarding that, we are talking $7 a month (assuming one is so strapped they can't gather enough for the quarterly or annual plan). If one is watching something that gives nothing back to people or companies responsible for making it a reality, when a method exists that costs them little (paid), or nothing but a bit of extra time (free with commercials), that does give something back, then darned right I am calling them immoral. |

GG sir! You continue to duck the issue: What is the justification for watching a free fansub instead of watching a legitimate stream with commercials? Address that issue before even reading the rest of this message. If you will not, don't even bother reading the rest of this message. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Now your saying people than can't afford $7 a month are going to be buying DVDs? If you think morals are such that one must be equivalent to a rapist, murder, or child abuser to be immoral, then you obviously don't understand the concept of morality. Vandalizing a mail box with a baseball bat and torturing someone to death are both illegal, but only a fool would try and equate the level of offense as equal. So where does the switch flip for you between moral an immoral? Does it have to involve physical harm (like all your examples)? If so, stealing someone's bike, car, TV, etc. wouldn't be immoral. I suspect you wouldn't say that isn't immoral. So, is sneaking into a movie theater to see a film without paying moral? Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide |

Will you be getting Bakuman? I really want to watch that anime. It's by the creators of Death Note, and it's about two 9th graders who want to become professional mangaka, for those who don't know...

Although their are other factors at play, the studio for Bakuman is J.C. Staff, and it appears more of their programs end up licensed by Funimation. If CR is going to get it, you should know before 6 AM EDT next Saturday, as that would be one hour after the first broadcast in Japan. |

If FUNi gets it, then I'll be happy, since they're good dubbers, and they release the subbed version along with the dub on the DVDs.
Thanks for letting me know the time, too. ^_^ |

I suspect Funimation may hold off on any licensing announcements until NY Comic Con, which starts on October 8, so if they get it, there may be no announcement or simulcast prior to that. |

I hope Crunchyroll also show Bakuman. I saw a manga cover where Bakuman is going to be an anime and released in October. That's the reason I recently signed up in Crunchyroll.
