OK You said you can not have One Piece on crunchyroll because FUNIMation owns it, Well Viz streaming site has the big three anime and they gave you two of theirs, Viz streaming site is also competing with you. they have 3 of the popular anime and they gave two of them to you, They also have One Piece but you said other streaming sites can't have it because FUNIMation has it, Also 4kids has a streaming website with one piece funimaiton dub and one piece english subtitles, You said other Anime streaming websites can't have one piece because funimation owns it, but I just named three that just did FUNIMATION streaming, Viz streaming and 4kids streaming, Also why did viz give you two of their titles bleach and naruto when they own it, but funimation isn't?

This is not suppose to be offense to anyway so please don't take it that way

Side Note - Why are you not replying to other people posts not mind because you always reply to mine, but like other people are reporting bugs and I have the same issue as them but no mods reply to them like the video skipping and stuff topic.

See..the only part I can answer back is the last paragraph. There's different mods for different sections of the site. The people you need to refer to are admins. They're the ones who know more about the site, bugs and media. The reason some mods don't answer questions is because they can't. They have no knowledge of it. I garuntee the only person that will answer your question is BK. Watch him come in here any second with a reply to your post. o__o

I want to know his reply too. I thought for sure CR would get one piece :[

A few observations from an outsider looking in.

Viz was part of the mix for the original deal to get Naruto. Naruto's production committee includes the publisher of Shonen Jump, Shueisha, Studio Pierrot, and TV Tokyo, and Shueisha is a part owner of Viz Media. Crunchyroll's ally on the production committee is TV Tokyo.

Bleach is also a Shonen Jump manga that was turned into an anime broadcast on TV Tokyo show, with Studio Pierrot doing the Animation Production.

In both cases, VizMedia was the international license holder, and Crunchyroll was part of working out the simulcast license ~ VizMedia's streaming license before Crunchyroll entered the picture was lined up with their DVD releases, which are year+ behind broadcast.

OnePiece is a Shonen Jump manga, but it was turned into an anime broadcast on Fuji TV, with Toei Animation doing the Animation Production. Its international license holder is Funimation, and Funimation worked out the simulcast deal. Since one of Vizmedia's owners holds the copyight on the original manga characters, and Viz publishes the OnePiece manga, it makes sense that Viz would get permission to share the OnePiece stream. But so far, Funimation does not stream shows on Crunchyroll.

If Crunchyroll cross-streamed from Hulu as a Hulu partner, that would only work for US members. That is what 4Kids is doing with Toonzaki ~ cross stream from Hulu to get lots of streams. So they will only have a few exclusive streams, but with the Hulu cross streams, it looks more impressive. Since 4Kids is focused on broadcast, they go for US rights only, same as Hulu.

For Crunchyroll to offer something that we can't get by just going to Hulu, they need to work out a deal on one or more series where they get the streaming rights outside the US, so they can cross-stream for US members and stream the shows from Crunchy for non-US members.

But like any license deal, the easy thing is to say it, the hard thing is to do it. And it might be easier with VizMedia or MediaBlasters than with Funimation.

Its not like Crunchyroll is sitting on their hands. They did the Bleach deal this year, which would have been a lot of work. And they just had the announcement from Kadokawa Pictures of three simulcasts and 17 catalog series.
