Up to this day clamp created Chobits. For those who do not know. It has sexual references such as panties.
Later, Clamp drew character designs for Code Geass, which has blunt fanservice.
However, the mangaka draws "tasteful" or juvenile anime like Kobato and Tsubasa Chronicles.

If Clamp did originally draw large bosoms for Code Geass, could Clamp doing an ecchi anime/manga be not farfetched?

So Chobits is labled ecchi?
In this poor growing anime culture with "sameness" will Clamp succumb to it?

One of the things I love about Chobits is that despite having some ecchi, it was made by an ALL female mangaka team rather than a male. You know how ecchi is often assumed to be made by male mangakas.

I also thought that Chobits was CLAMP trying to do an ecchi manga/anime. It was kind of released as such waaay back in the day.

I think something like Chobits is about as far as they will go which in my opinion is a good thing. Clamp doesn't need ecchi fanservice to make their works good. Also, I thought Clamp just did the design for Zero in Code Geass.

Although I'm not really much of a fan of Clamp to begin with, this. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Code Geass wasn't done by Clamp other than the art designs iirc.

I'm sure when Chobits first came out it was considered Ecchi but with all things. What was risky then is every day now and the risky now would never be thought of doing then.

They always seem like they need to push the envelope but all is really needed is a good story.

Just my 2 cents.......

I think Clamp will go farther than they have in the past ecchi wise; if given the opportunity with a separate production team that distances the work from their traditional family audience and can also match Clamp for professional prestige.
Gonzo produces
Clamp character design (in small credits)
written by Bones (Big Credits)
Snow Elf Love Sword Story.

Clamp's primary audience target are girls so I think that it is less likely that they'll make another one.

I don't think they will make an ecchi since their always saying "expect the unexpected"

For example Kobato's episode where Tsubasa people come in?? Like that was just crazy and cool . If their was ecchi how can you cross worlds and make the unexpected , that's not clamp style.
Lets just hope they won't get influenced to make a fan serviced anime.
