This sucks, but I've to admit that the anime wasn't really good the past few weeks. Anyway, I really hope that once the manga has more chapters, they'll animate it again :<

tenebrusmke79 [link url="/forumtopic-666268/end-of-katekyo-hitman-reborn-anime-confirmed?fpid=33500032" ]If that's the case, then why hasn't either Artland, Marvelous Entertainment, d-rights or Dentsu said anything about it "ending"? TV Tokyo doesn't have authority to say it's ending unless they received that information from either Artland or the other three companies involved with the production of the series. TV Tokyo is only the broadcaster, they have nothing to do with the production of the series. Also, there has only been one announcement of its ending, and that's from the TV Tokyo Reborn site. Neither Artland, Marvelous Entertainment, d-rights, nor Dentsu has said anything so far. To say that there's been announcements is in fact in error, since there's only been one announcement so far. I don't trust MyAnimeList at all since it's not an official source for news. If anything, I'd trust ANN over MyAnimeList, but I would trust Artland over TV Tokyo on this subject. I would say that Reborn's going on hiatus much like how Gintama is on hiatus.
You'd have to be pretty stupid to assume that TV Tokyo would say it's ending when it hasn't received news from one of the production companies... There's no way they would announce that if they didn't receive a message.

What you have to understand is that there are not many announcements for animes ending, even the long ones like Reborn. The production companies don't have to say anything about it at all, and TV Tokyo only announces it because to alert fans it won't be airing next season. And I'm sure that by this stage there has been more than 1 announcement coming from official staff, probably by their twitter or something. TV Tokyo's announcement may have been the first, but it definitely isn't the only one.

MyAnimeList simply reports the news that is made available from online sources. ANN does exactly the same. ANN is by no means "official" source for anime news at all, and just because ANN has official writers to write the report up in more detail doesn't give it more accuracy. It's fine if you trust neither and only trust original sources (though they do link the originals...), but it's crazy to say you trust one more than the other.

Gintama hasn't ended, it's on hiatus. You can check for yourself at this link: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-03-29/gintama-director-shinji-takamatsu/it-not-over
Technically, hiatus's refer to mid-season breaks. Gintama has ended, and a season 2 will come in the future. That's not a hiatus. An example of an hiatus in anime would be that Shiki is taking a break from the noitaminA block for 3 weeks (though some reports say it's only that timeslot that's affect, but at this stage who knows).

The reason the term is misused for anime is usually because of manga's going on hiatus. When mangas come back from a break, they usually continue with the chapter count, so that's a hiatus, however the same doesn't apply to anime.

As for reborn, there's been no confirmation that it's only taking a break. It may very well be, but you can't compare it to something that has been confirmed to be coming back.

well one possibility is that people are misinterpreting what tv tokyo is saying. they could just mean that 203 is the final episode of the future arc rather then the series ending.

Another possibility is that KHR isn't going to be broadcasted by TV Tokyo anymore, and they probably need some time to finish the case, I heard that as well.

Well if it is ending Crunchyroll would say something about it being the last episode they will simulcast like they did with Gintama and Shugo Chara.

yeah i definitely considered this. if it is changing networks then that could be why CR hasn't said anything since they would have to finalize with the new network to continue simulcasting.

Well, even if it continued, we'd watch a lot of fillers, and probably have to wait a lot of episodes just to see some action...
