def not equal. Those who are born in a third world country, a certain race or sex are going to be treated differently or are already at a disadvantage.

Someone asked me this recently and I answered that I don't feel we are equal. Not at birth, not during life, and not at death. He seemed to think that believing that we aren't all equal means I think some people are inherently better than others. I tried to explain that is not what I meant. After looking up the definition of the word equal he agreed with me. Being unequal is not, by virtue, a bad thing. It simply means we are all different from birth, through life and even in the way we die. I believe we should do our best to treat others with respect but treating everyone equally, all the time can actually end up harming someone.

huh...are we equal? Lets imagine a place If we were. Everybody would lower their skills and attributes. For example, if anybody were to be beautiful. Everyone would have to do plastic surgery and make their faces ugly to be equal to everyone else. Everyone would be driving same colored cars, wear same exact clothes. If anyone was smart they would be hit by a hammer and cause brain damage to the brain to be stupid. If you were a jock, you would have to have 1000 pd weights on your body for others to keep up with you.
TO answer your question. No, we are not equal. To tell you the truth, its about the life we live in. Its about the environment, culture, and $$$. |

I'd say we're all equal in value. A human beings value cannot be measured in dollars, in fact, it can't be measured. Yet, many people are too much of cheapskates to send 1/100 of their paycheck to a random child in Africa/Asia. Sad.

I think humanity as a whole is equal in the sense that we all want the same human social needs for ourselves from the moment that we're born, right up to the moment when we die. This is the collective conscience behind a socialist society.
