(didn't realize I could finally make a thread until now)

I am currently dealing with the usual bout of Bronchitis, which tells you that I am also an asthmatic. Whenever it happens to me, I always eat onions (yes, even by itself if I need to) because it helps with loosening up the nasty mucus. Lately I've included spinach, tea with a drop of lemon, and almounds into my little anti-bronchitis defense plan.

In addition, I take cough drops, drink lots of water and orange juice, chicken noodle soup, put alot of spicy stuff in my food (which can also loosen up the mucus), gargle with warm salty water for sore throats, take some Robitussin only when I really need it.

Notice I use mostly natural remedies before the medication. And I always go right after it at the very first signs...usually by way of unconforable feeling in the throat.

So, how do you deal with your ill feeling?

I've never had a serious illness in my life like that. But if I did, I would not take any medication. I'll eat healthy and have faith in God. God put herbs and fruit and vegetable in this world for a reason. To heal our sickness, to give us our daily vitamins... if none of that is working then I'll go toGod. I mean a strong faith in God is good. What can't Jesus Christ who is God can't do?

I dissaprove of medication too.

Well when I had the flu and a fever, I had bed rest and had to take store bought medicine. If the problem didn't cease, I'll go to the doctor for a shot.

I rarely get sick. I have a kick ass immunity system. I can be surrounded by people hacking their lungs out and not get sick Whenever I feel weird I give my body a pep talk and that does the trick.

But I do try to get enough sleep every night. Eat healthy, drink an adequate amount of water, go out into the sun shine, and laugh a bit. Just listen to your body. If you feel tired, rest. Hungry, eat. Blah blah blah. Your body will give you clues even before you get sick that something is wrong, so know body.

When I get a cold, I run to the nearest drugstore, get the hardest over-the-counter drugs, close my eyes real tight, and intake a lot more than the recommended dosage. No lies.
