As a former Clear customer, I'd love to get an explaination from you as to why you use it.

Same when I had the service. Let me tell you what I went through with Clear. Keep in mind I'm talking about using it at home.

Living in three different places this year (my apartment being the 3rd), I've had the same werid connection issues happen to me. Very often the speed would be slow...especally when playing online. Videos on YouTube...even short ones..sometimes take forever to finish downloading. Where with my current comcast service, they don't.

Then you get the disconnects. The ones that just accurs right out of nowhere...even if your modem is next to a window where they say to put it at. If it's raining alot...disconnect til who knows how long. And when it disconnects....and you got a wireless router connected to it, you gotta unplug the router for 30 seconds and back in. The issue is even worse if you're using a wireless connection on your laptop, Wii, DS, etc.

Then rarely, you're surfing the web....all fine and dandy right? Then as you click on the next website..everything comes to a stop. Once again, the router off...then back on.

And the connection speed itself...sometimes it'll be up to where it's supposed to be, but most of the time it'll be lower than broadband speeds and rarely in the area of dial up.

I know I'm not the only one who has experienced this, having looked countless times on their message boards. As i said before, it's good for what it is...a cheaper alternative. But you get what you pay for, and 4G is not yet ready for the big leagues in my opinion. Using Comcast now, my connection is miles and away better and much faster. And I don't get these ridiculoius disconnects ether.

My connection is via a large local area network free for people living in this building and other residences on the site. The internet is limited to 8 meg speed. Which is plent to streem in HD from CR.
