Strike Witches - Ended on 23rd Sept 2010
Katekyo Hitman Reborn - Ended on 25th Sept 2010
Mitsudomoe - Ended on 26th Sept 2010
Giant Killing - Ended on 26th Sept 2010

4 anime series that was broadcasted on Crunchyroll ended within the space of 4 days.....thats gotta be a new record.
i wonder why everything ended really close to each other? was it coincidence?

your thoughts.

You left out Heroman which ended on the 24th in the United States. (Given the date format you used in the subject, and that you list Strike Witches as ending on the 23rd instead of the 22nd, I am assuming you are across the Atlantic).

There is also Occult Academy which ends about 19 hours after I post this.

If you look at the starting dates for new Fall 2010 anime, you would see they start in a fairly tight group. In the space of October 2-5 in Japan, 18 anime series start.

The only reason you do not always see them end in close groups are varying episode counts (i.e., 12 vs. 13, or 24 vs. 25 or 26).

Sekirei 2 ended yeasterday.
Seitokai Yakuindomo ended ehm on Saturday or Sunday.

Asobi ni Iku yo!
Kaichou wa Maid-sama

K-ON ends on Wednesday(in Japan)

It`s expected though, since they started either at the start of the summer or in the middle :P
Though it doesn`t mean the animes are finished, just those seasons.

Seitokai Yakuindomo probably will have a new season.
Mitsudomoe will have s2 :D

Maid-sama, I couldn`t care less about :P
Sekirei will probably have another season, but I hope the creators will fix it abit, it has become abit lame lately.

K-ON most likely won`t have more

There are more than 18. That is simply the number that start in that 4 day time span I mentioned. There are at least 32 total for the Fall season (September - October).

Don't forget Major just ended, and that's the end of the series. They did a "happy ending; wrap up" thing to show the end of the series. Also the manga is no longer being serialized as well.

I guess it's because there are more anime titles coming, like for Fall 2010 or something. But i'm still sad that these great titles end at the same time?!

Yeah, almost like the end of a season.

Something like this would have been happening last year, but Fall 2009 was a big increase in Crunchyroll's simulcasts, so we did not notice the Spring/Summer and Summer seasons ending as much as all the new Fall anime starting.

Fall and Spring are the two bigger seasons for new anime, with Summer and Winter mostly being 13 week replacements of 13 week series that were started in Fall and Spring, while the 26 week series keep running through. There are some exceptions, like Legends of the Legendary Heroes (Hulu) is a Summer/Fall series, but not many.

Fall seems to be the start of the TV year, with Spring the halfway point ... looking at the long running series, Bleach started in October, Naruto started in October, One Piece started in October, Reborn started in October. Yumeiro, a one-year season, started in October.
