Actually a bit before the nazi era ~ the Prussian uniform of the late 1800's was very influential in Japan after the Meiji Restoration of 1868, when Japan started modernizing: after all, the Prussians won the Franco-Prussian war in 1871, and Japan wanted to learn from winners.

The Japanese "gakuran" style school uniform for high school boys is still based on that style of uniform.

This looks pretty interesting, so I'll be checking out the first episode. So far it looks like I'll be watching most of my anime on CR this season. I'm still hoping one of the legal streaming sites pick up Psychic Detective Yakumo, as that is probably the one show that I'm most looking forward too this season. I would love to be able to watch it legally.
