i wouldn't say out of body experience, but i do get what other people said in this thread, which is sleep paralysis.
this is pretty common for me actually, it started last year, and i would get it at least 4 times a month.
even though i get it frequently, i still cannot get used it, but i've stopped being extremely scared when it happens.

Wow, honestly? Can can you deal with that? I mean, last night I've had my first-ever experience with sleep paralysis, with hallucinations and all to boot. It was.. honestly, I think the most frightening thing I've experienced, ever. (explains why I'm not sleeping right now even though its super late, cause I'm too scared to).

But wow...

i actually do not get the hallucinations. what usually happens with mine is that for some reasons i'm really scared and i cannot move or speak even though i know i'm screaming my lungs out.
the first time it happened to me, i didn't know what was happening or what to do, but since i get it so much, i just know in the back of my mind that it's just a dream and it'll go.
trust me, you won't totally get used to it, but it will be less scary.

Yeah, I had that thing where I felt like I was screaming my lungs out but I knew I really wasn't cause I couldn't move. At least I didn't have any visual hallucinations. It was auditory.

yeah i hear buzzing noise or something like static, but no visuals thank goodness. i've read extreme cases, and compare to those, i'm quite glad mine quite mild.

Why yes i have. While listening to Deadmau5 - Strobe i experienced what could best be described as an 'out of body experience'.

No, I've never had an out of body experience, but my friend has. She was meditating and was gone for half an hour (thinking it was only five minutes) then she got that out out body experience that people often gets in the hospital. That you're looking at yourself outside your own body. That's kind of crazy.

Many people here are bringing sleep paralysis up, that's another thing though.
I've had sleep paralysis a few times and that's really unpleasant. When you can't move your body even though your awake and hear things that shouldn't be there. It's crazy but not as cool as lucid dreams or out of body experiences I think. ^.^
