Okay the second season of Berserk is hopefully coming out.If the new project actually means second season I really hope that Crunchyroll really gets it and continues to air it until the manga is done. This is what I am hoping at least. I really got into Berserk after i borrowed the anime from a friend. Long story short I got to the end and was major disappointed by the ending. I had to have a season two.

Well season 2 is out now and the question is who is going to legally air it. Well after you do the poll tell me your stories about Berserk.

How do you know it will be a second season? It may be an anime movie or an OVA series. Don't assume that an anime project will always be a TV anime. Now, if the news report said TV anime, then yes, your saying that a second season coming would actually be valid, but it said nothing of the sort. The official Japanese site doesn't say anything about it being a TV anime let alone a second TV anime season. I just wanted to point that out, in case you missed what the information said.

Here is what it says from animenewsnetwork.com

The official website for Kentarou Miura's Berserk manga has begun streaming the fourth of five new animated commercials on Monday. Hakusensha published the 35th manga volume with a wraparound jacket band announcing the launch of a new anime
project. Hakusensha is promoting the new manga volume with four animated television commercials
narrated by singer/actor Gackt, and the website will stream a fifth, web-exclusive commercial on Tuesday morning Japan Time.

I could be wrong but if you have been hoping as long as i have. I really hope a new anime project means season 2.

According to ANN, the first anime is from 1997, so simply continuing on from that could be tricky. Those who saw the series may not have watched it in a long time, and those who haven't would come into a second season with no knowledge of the first. I don't think it makes sense in terms of gaining either fans or a new audience for this to be a direct follow-on from a series over ten years old.

I don't know how faithful an adaptation of the manga the anime was, but from what I've gathered it's worthy of its 18 rating. Perhaps the graphic nature of the content would put off CR from acquiring it? (Incidentally, if you're not signed in, you only need to log in to 'prove' you're over age to watch the series with content warnings. Also tricky.)

I think Media Blasters got the English rights for the first season and CR does have a few of their shows around here (Queen's Blade and I think Mouse).

It is a pretty damn nasty series though, particularly at the end of the first season.
and it was still a little toned back from the comic.

To be completely honest I think you are right but it would be nice to see what happens. It is a pretty graphic show and I noticed scrolling through Crunchyroll's anime collection. There really isn't too much for blood, guts, and gore. If there is I haven't noticed it yet. I do know that Mouse and Queens Blade could probably be nc-17 so it is really hard to tell.

I don't know what the show is about, but I'll say yes for fans who want it here.

@Anewlight - TBH...I'd forgotten about Queen's Blade being on here, and couldn't stand it long enough to watch past the first episode. Or even the entire first episode. I'm up for seeing what happens (my morbid sense of curiosity will kill me one day) but I'm not convinced we'll get it.

@SanctuaryBeast - Weren't 'the old ways' illegal? Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Yeah a long time ago when the Ps2 was suppose to be very hot. The japanese made the second season of Berserk on a Ps2 game. I guess it was the whole second season and America never got that game. It pissed me off so much. If America think that Berserk is too gory then why are they letting Saw movies exist. Some of those Saw movies get really gory.
