The no-sales tax is pretty awesome, and touring the coast is an important part if you plan to tour the Northwest. Other then that nothing special

Pfft. It's like that in the entire northwest. Don't you know Washington/Oregon grows some of the best weed in the world? Why do you think there are so many hippies around?

No, I don't smoke and never have/will. Brothers are the experts on that. Trust me.

i never payed much attention when i was younger but i spent my middle schoool and high school in oregon .. i never heard that much about washington drugs... just oregon ... well... because we got the oregon news :P

weve been in washington back now for over a month... try to avoid the news... it tends to be depressing.. so i live in my happy little universe trying to think of the next amusing thing to do...or worrying about the next stupid thing im going to do... depends which mood im in... i tend to skew the two categorys alot..caus im an idiot...

The upper Western state Oregon? Don't ever remember being there. Maybe as a kid when Dad and Mom was traveling to the East Coast in the 60's due to being in the Army. Depends if you live near the coast or near the mountain ranges. Either or, boring unless your camping. I could be so wrong there. I've never been there so I can't say for sure.

My father in law lives in Portland and my wife grew up in Hermiston. I went up there once. The one thing that impressed me was the size of the trees. Growing up in Atlanta, trees for me were plastic things set in concrete sidewalks. (It's my lie, I'll tell it any way I want to!) In Oregon, the trees were so big I could have built an Ewok village inside one!
