first of all, i hate the word "hardcore" when applied to music.... don't mean much anymore...

second, i do listen to it a bit but not really anymore

first of all, i hate the word "hardcore" when applied to music.... don't mean much anymore...


that's the exact opposite of true, the hardcore community is alive and well and it may not sound like what it used to, but we're still here. btw i listened to traditional hardcore like you stated to. I didn't think I would get many replies, but it's always interesting to find non-generic fans, no offense. and Yeah black dahlia and all that stuff is more death metal, but I still listen to that stuff to.

What i mean is that the term "hardcore" has been applied to things that are not "hardcore", especially with these metalcore bands. I am not denying that there is not a hardcore community. I am just saying that it is a terrible word to use in music now because it has lost it's actual description.

Also I am wondering what you mean by non-generic fans? I don't see how it can offend anyone.

One more thing: you also have to specific what "hardcore" because "hardcore" is also a type of electronic.

well, i feel lucky because i don't know anyone who does like them.... yet i never had a good conversation with someone about music
