i like all 4! but does liking Vocaloid mean i like techno?

but one thing i dont understand is all the hate towards country music.
whenever people are asked "what genres do you like?"
3 in 5 people (through my experiance) "Will say anything but Country."
i mean seriously, to me country music>most of these random asian singer groups that use pretty faces and hot guys.
I mean country is not on my favourites, but seriously whats so bad about it?

I know ill get alot flame for this, i just know it

I actually think Country is pretty meaningful and romantic as much as Asian music is, any genre can be that way as a matter of fact ^-^ there are some trance songs I listen too that have such sweet lyrics. and there are tons and tons of Opera and Classical songs that have such a soothing romantic vibe to them

Andrea Bocelli sings alot of meaningful songs <3 Enya has alot of sweet and deep Lyrics and same or one of my favorite artists, Sarah Brightman, no offense to Utada Fans but I dont think her all her songs are as meaningful as those artists I listed, I mean seriously

"your easy Breezey and Im Japanesey" Dx what the hell is that? thats supposed to be "deep and meaningful"? I do like Utada, but like I said, not all her music is meaningful

I dont like techno because it's like the same tempo on and on, like a person can be say one line for the whole song!
i like classical, it's soft on the ears and it's great for getting you into sleep.
I like opera as well, Its nice and a unique type of singing.
Metals just too hard on the ears and most of the time people are just screaming.

I guess it depends on what artist your listening too actually lol X3 not all techno has that, I know Daft Punk does 8'D
but if its because it gives u a headache and hurts ur ears or something, I understand lol 8'D
one of my cousins didnt wanna hear metal through out our 2 hour drive because he said it hurt his ears ^,^..I've been listening to metal since I was young because I have a brother who's in a band and does both play the guitar and does vocals so yeah x'D im pretty used to it

I love opera. The best way to experience it is live of course. But if you can't the next best thing is to see on of the Met's live HD broadcasts if you can. I was introduce to them last April and they are terrific, they broadcast a live performance from the the Metropolitan Opera in New York around the world and shown at various movie theatres around the world. Just check to see if they are playing in your area. They have English subtitles so it is easy to follow. Plus there are live interviews with the cast during intermissions, quite often the performers are literally walking off-stage and they will be interviewed live. Its all pretty user friendly and the performers all come across as pretty down to Earth. Since its live, you get the full intermissions to get up and stretch, go to the washroom and maybe get some more popcorn.

Saw the recent production of Das Rhinegold and it was fantastic.

Nothin'!

I love classical, opera and metal.

Techno I'm a bit selective about but I sure wouldn't say anything is wrong with it.

I think a lot of people are just calling all electronic music techno on these forums...
I personally am not such a big fan of techno but I like electronic music, like electrohouse, dubstep, drum n bass and trance
I like metal, but mostly alt metal
Classical is one of the best music styles, IMO, but your mileage may vary

Absofrigginlutely nothing is wrong with any of those genres, the great thing about music is its all about personal preference, and just because someone doesnt like a certain type of music doesnt mean it bad. Honestly if anyone tells knocks you for listening to a certain type of music then they are only being a snobby elitist. Simply put, "who are they to tell you what to and what not to be listening to."

I myself listen to country, punk, hardcore punk, classical, opera, techno, rockabilly, and thensome...I try not to get caught up in the genres anymore, because all that matters to me is whether I like it or not.

I absolutely love Techno (especially for amazing dance beats), nothing wrong with it at all. It's just a matter of opinion. Same for Classical, love it.

Absolutely nothing. There's just some people who like these kinds of music and some that not.
