We all love anime here and i think we all think that anime industry is pretty cool. Some of us may want to be a part of it as a animators, anime marketers.......

Last time, I also wanted to work for anime company like animax...... but after I've done some research, I found out that anime industry is not that fancy as the anime we are watching.... The fact of animators got low paid, the whole industry is fighting with piracy......

So tell me, your opinion? You think you want to work in the anime industry? Do you think the industry can get bigger? Let's have a discussion here ^^

By the way, i am writing a thesis about anime and need to do a survey, if you are kind enough, plz spend 3 minutes to help me.I really need this to be done in order to pass my course. Here is the link :https://spreadsheets.google.com/embeddedform?formkey=dFg3eml5bEZFWGRxZDctbG93YWZRWlE6MQ. Thanks.

^ I'll keep this open. Thanks for making the effort to offer some content.

The industry will definitely grow! I will work for it only if it offers a satisfiable amount of salary. I don't mind doing admin jobs for it, but if you're gonna ask me to draw or create animations, forget about the idea then. I'm too lazy to do that. p.s. The survey was a short one, I finished it in less than 2 minutes. Good luck with your school work!

For me, I cant draw, so to be an animator is impossible but I dont mind to work in other areas which involved with anime industry. The paid is important but maybe working for a short while like 1 year will be great. I think I will be able to learn a lot about anime and can experience the feeling of how is be when working in a company give people's dreams and fantasies.....But maybe after i work, I wont feel anime is that cool anymore......But oh well, must try before i know

I love the Anime Industry. I support it 100%. I hate illegal streams and manga uploads to the internet. In an efford to assist in preventing such activities, I report it to the company and the FBI.

@stareye_pink: thank you ^^
@Otaku2012: It is rare to see people like you nowadays when watching a anime online is actually easier to peel an orange. But it's good for anime industry if everyone could be like you. So maybe you can consider to become copyright lawyer in order to protect anime industry ^^

By the way, many people love anime but not so many of us want to work in the anime industry. That's why i can only see a few responses here.

Nah, I can't see myself working in the anime industry.

I don't have the drawing talent, nor not much of a talent when comes to writing stories. The act of making an anime doesn't really appeal to me anyway, and that was before realising how horribly little the people making anime earn.

I'll be honest;

I download anime, but plenty of it ain't even licensed in my country. Nor would I have heard of them, or watched them if it wasn't for the fact that I was able to download and watch them. When a series I really like become available to me, I often end up buying it.

Except for those awful "volumes". Sorry, but even if they earn terrible little, there is no chance in hell that I'll buy a volume of a series which contains, what 2-4 episodes? At the same price as a full series...

I'd love to be a part of it... though I have no idea where I would fit in, I can't draw to save my life and I'm not all that smart. I'd still be willing to do anything it takes to help though =)

Nah, but to work in anime industry does not mean you have to be animators. From what i knew, many small studios in Japan create good anime but because they do not know how to manage, so they can't make profit, so maybe become manager in an anime studio could be alright.... but then, the language barrier, I think Japanese language is very hard to learn ......

As for so called "illegal streams and manga uploads"
It has the same effect as downloading music of the internet
people will find know a greater variation of material they would never know of if they followed mainstream, and they will in general buy more then those that don't, this is called marketing on some level.

Which is harder?
For one that speaks and reads only English to learn Japanese, or

Well either way it is hard to learn a new language...

My mother tongue is not English and I learnt French when I was 7 and English when I was 17, and 22 I learnt Japanese but I feel English is the easiest between three of them..... but maybe because i was living a english speaking country when i start learning them....

Dubber is cool but my voice sounds bad, so I never dream about it.
