Before you start spouting nonsense and comparing both music with each other please read what their is as this is not a VS/comparison thread.


So it comes to my attention that the leading Asian music Jpop and Kpop are doing a switch over. As in the Korean idols switching over into Japan (vice versa). Its been great so far as how Korean idols are successful in Japan like making it into Oricon , being top 2 in the charts , getting a lot of album sales etc. My concern is how Japan is very open into letting other music like kpop.

My issue is how when Japan tries to switch over , the netizens, k-fans aren't as open and critique them even before the have debuted(past to say once they debut then it will be decided). So I found it stupid how Japan where very opening and heart warming to SNSD , KARA etc.....while Korea just shut them down and criticized them. (Directly to Akb48)


Excluding the past k-idols who have broke into the Jpop world without criticism (DBSK , Big Bang , etc)

As 1/6 Japanese and k-pop fan it kinda hurts to know that Japan idols aren't given a fair chance from the start and already judged . So whats your opinion on this?

And just like you, I think Japanese are more open than Koreans. They were very nice to KARA and Perfume were talking to SNSD politely and all...and yeah...I hope Japan haters would grow up someday.
Because Jpop and Kpop, being the top among Asian music, they should be friendly towards eachother. *sighs*

Korean netizens are being too protective of their idols. They think they already have the best they don't need anything eles...well that's the vibe i'm getting lol.

But to be honest the standard in Kpop is a bit higher. Korea train their idols for years before they debut whereas in Japan alot of idols are street casted and givin little training before debut.
