When i was around 16 , i was working at blockbuster in florida, and a guy came in and asked for pirates of the carribean. and i told the truth
Me: "Sorry sir, pirates of the carribean is sold out"

He proceeded to shake with anger

Man: "Why is it sold out?"

(I stay quiet as the answer would probably enrage him more, as WHY is pretty obvious)

Man: "It's supposed to be guaranteed in stock! why is it sold out!"

Me: "Even if something is guaranteed in stock it's not for On sale DVD's" (He was looking to buy it apparently)

Man, now shaking with such anger you could tell he wanted to punch me:
"I'm gonna report you to the better business bureau , whats your last name, and wheres your manager"
Me: "I can go get my mamanger for you"
Manager: tell's the man he doesn't need our last names , and that he can go ahead and call th e better business bureau but the title isn't gaurantee'd in stock and sold out, and should leave.

Man's wife: (Looking embarassed).

And oh man its great when they think its YOUR FAULT they have late fee's. horrible job that was.

I have delt with customers that give me the 3rd degree like its all my fault. If we are out of stock on an item or we dont carry an item they thought we did or I am already helping someone. its very odd to me

I have honestly never seen a guy haggle at the counter.
I've seen some old people argue over coupons.
But that's about it.

Well, if your friend works at a chain, it's your duty to ask him for an employee discount.

Thankfully no.

Yes. I was working at my local butcher store when, one day, a fat, middle-aged, balding man (These suggest to me that he was in some stage of a midlife crisis) asked for mince. That's perfectly fine, except in was 5;29pm (we close at 5:30), and I had just finished cleaning off all of the blood from the mincer, and there was none left over to sell him.
Customer: "I'd like some mince, thanks."
Me: "Sorry sir, but we have just run out."
Customer: "Make some more,then."
Me: "We are closing in one minute and I have just finished cleaning the mincer."
Customer: "I don't care! I want mince!"
Me: "Fine, but if you want me to make it, I'm making you clean it all up!"
(silence)

The next week, he shows up at one of my classes at school! He just happened to be my substitute teacher!

Oh yeah ... been there done that!!
The ones that annoy me is the ones that look around the shop and then ask you for something that you obviously don't stock or sell - i mean ... hello, could they be more stupid or ignorant!?

Nope, never yet in my life.

Not yet.
If it was LITERALLY service with a smile, like someone smiling at you while they're working, that would make me think, "PEEDDDOOOOOOOOOO O-o "

I'm probably one of those obnoxious customers.

Today I went to Victoria secrets to return this duffle bag and the cashier lady in front said that I needed an i.d to return the item. Wtf? I traveled half an hour specifically to return this bag and you expect me to travel back, get my id, then travel yet another half a hour to return your piece of shit? I started grinding the lady telling her that It didn't even say on the receipt that I had to bring my i.d

She ended up taking my 10$ rewards card from the time i purchased the bag to compensate just so I can return the dam thing.
GIVE ME BACK MY 10$ BITCH

If i didn't have that card with me I would have started a storm

yep, almost all the time where i used to work. it was always over something stupid like waiting in a qeue or the milkshake machine not working or the food taking too long cos its cooking. ive even had fights with managers cos they think theyre better than the employees since they wear a managers uniform. i even had a fight with a customer cos he said he wanted a breakfast without eggs and an extra hashbrown. when he got his order he argued that he wanted the egg and insisted that i heard him wrong and that i should listen to what the customer is saying. managers are annoying cos theyll always defend the customer instead of the employee. -_-
