Well since today is election day and....is school in session today? Anyhoo, I'd love to know if any of you voted already or have yet to vote. Are you old enough to vote now?

Please do not state who you voted for or what your political stance is, because it'll lead to flaming and such. Besides, if you know me long enough around here then you should already know where I stand politicaly.

And if you did vote, how did it go? Where the people there friendly to you?

For me it went smoothly, even though I had to get an address changed to where I currently live now. And I had to vote with those paper things where you circle in your choice. I remember in the 2008 election I was using the touch screens. But yeah, it was a good experince but I didn't talk to anyone though. Don't wanna make anymore enemies.

No college close for election day and you must be 18 to vote. I voted for a democrat because i believe that supporting the poor is very substantial to our country. I mean America did start out with only farmers.

Here's something to think about... It's nice to help the less fortunate, but when it is overly regulated through laws, guess what, it's abused...

Whoever you vote for, you are just getting one side of a coin with two faces. Have fun getting raped by the corporate and social machine.

To start off, this country has many political parties. Many of the parties you can stand against and others you can stand aside but you have to understand this country do have communist party (yes i know, ITS SCARY!). Even though our tax payer's money are helping an "communist" illegal immigrant, it does not mean our country should not help people who are in need. Eventually, illegal immigrants will become citizens of America through marriage or joining the army and start doing taxes of their own. And capitalism is America and there is no wrong in abusing it. It is all about the cash and without it, we can not be the strongest country as of right now. Plus, it doesn't seem to give me the specific details on how the person sitting on the computer receiving his money from. Before showing me pictures of a blog with a few sentences, bring in references from political sites that support those blog statements.

What's the point of being free if we can't hear your voice? Beats the point of having a free country

I voted. Didn't go that well. I went online and got my polling place directions but when I got there, I wasn't on the list. I had registered and everything but it seems like my previous polling place (the one I was initially assign to) for some reason was closed so the one I went to was the back up. The place was ridiculously small. The poll workers were overwhelmed by the horde of people (good turn out). In the end I had to vote provisional . I grrr'd. But I voted.

End of rant.

Lol good for you You made one American proud!

I didn't vote, both republifags and decmocraps are crooked and serve the banks and capitalists before they even think about helping the people.

If you voted Democrat, you will get poorly thought out social reforms... If you vote Republican, we will creep towards a evolved form of fascism, where instead of an authoritarian control, it will be a bank purchased democratic process of censorship and control...

So, you'd rather sit back and watch Americans pick out its misfortune?

Yes. On another note, as a moderate, I don't see myself being knowledgeable enough about my local election to vote. All I know is that the democrat we have is a bitch, and the republican is trying for his 3rd time to be elected, and that he is able to afford expensive campaigns because he owns a damn bank.

How I wish the media wasn't all bought out lie.

i'm up to speed on a national and global level, that's it. I will be voting in during the presidential elections.

You know this shows how much the mainstream psychonut media influence everything.

Before election day, I only knew of the two people running for govenor here in maryland...the democrat and the republican. Last week someone was handing out fliers for some other person running. I asked the person are there other people running for govenor, and he said there were 4 others running for govenor. I was angry because these people never....eeeeeeeeever...got any mention at all by the media here in maryland. How the hell are people supposed to know who is running if the media only tells you two of them? It doesn't matter that they aren't a democrat or republican, they should be mentioned and given a chance to speak to the public in a forum or debate.

So yeah, it's just further proof that the mainstream psychonut media (whether it's MSNBC or Fox News Channel) influences, is completely biased, and will kiss the ass of whoever they think you need to support.
