Ngastolemyname wrote: Not only a manga skips the filler, but it has its true form, you'll get so much more details based on the storyline within the manga than most of the anime out there, of course there's always a few exceptions and we can't go on generalizing, but in general if I had to chose a manga over an anime I'd gladly do so. Not all manga skips the filler. Some of the filler comes straight from the manga. At least with the stories I have read. |

If there wasn't manga, you wouldn't be getting all those anime you be watching.

I perfer manga! because for some reason my brain takes those pictures and makes them into moving pictures like an anime...idk and anime sometimes goes off the manga and has TONS of fillers like Shugo Chara e.e

And what's so great about the anime versions, filler arcs are the reason I stopped watching. Not all anime come from manga. Not all manga get turned into anime. Not all anime are completely faithful to the manga they are based off of. Agreed. Anime like Naruto and Bleach is just full of fillers but I still prefer anime because it gives "life" to manga pictures those can't move. well.. i think i prefer manga better because the drawing details in manga are usually "cleaned up" or simplified in anime, and although it might be stupid one of the main reasons that draw me to a particular anime/manga is the art style. i also kind of agree with the above posts- anime usually gives you fillers and sometimes even changes the story a little. but that doesnt mean anime is bad or anything because like the above person said, it brings "life" and its also easier to work out whats going on (like in an action manga) and it can also be more entertaining. but i think if you just want to know how the story progresses then you should read the manga because the only "fillers" it will have are those omake things (extras but theyre usually funny). Well, to be honest, I was able to get on the latest Bleach episode because I skipped all fillers in Bleach. This is why I don't mind if filler exist in anime but it is true that the changed story really annoyed me. |

yes there is anime but sometimes you don't get the whole story or the story is switched around all together.
so in answering the question 'what's the point in manga?' in my opinion is it's not a bad idea to read manga since first off it's usually the source material for anime and has the original story the original creator/author wanted to tell and second there are many manga out there that are never made into anime and are in fact quite interesting. |

Wait... I like manga better than anime :S The art is waayyy better in 98% cases, in my opinion.
I just like anime better when it is about action/adventure |

the point of manga is that SOME people prefer reading it,
the point of anime is that SOME people prefer watching them, you cant just say one is better than the other cause its a matter of personal opinion |

Not all Manga is black and white.
also, you don't always have to click you can always use your arrows on your keyboard. I prefer Manga.. Animes usually don't follow the same story line as the original story Like Ouran High School Host Club. Manga is longer and go deeper into the story.. A prime example is Kare Kano.. |

Well, manga is a lot easier and cheaper to make and buy. And, you don't click for the next page of a manga, you flip. Why would you even criticize manga in the first place? It is the embryo of most of the best animes out there. We read the mangas because we want to see the actual events that the anime didn't ruin. It's like asking, "What's the whole point of book?"

Well sometimes stuff that happens in the manga can be different in the anime. If you dont like reading manga than just watch the anime. LOL

not all manga is turned into anime
not all anime is from a manga so why limit your self to ONLY anime(: i like manga because the anime doesnt cover THE WHOLE background and some information besides if your wondering what happens when an anime ends and theres a manga then read the manga haha (: |
