Because there is 20 times more manga than anime! Manga or anime they are both the same to me.

I watched the first season of rave master and then to my suprise it didn't continue after that! (Why the fuck not?) Anyways I just picked up where it left off in the manga and when I finished reading it I forgot which ones I read and watched.(But it was fucking amazing anime and manga!) Same thing for gakuen alice.

So what I'm saying is. "Manga, When you run out of anime."
I'm also saying "If your'e to lazy to click a few buttons, What the fuck man?"

MAYBE READING MAKES YOUR MIND WORK MORE, THAN WATCHING THINGS
ALSO SOMETHING TO DO, LIKE READING IN TIMES OF BLACK OUTS OR BROWN OUTS
ALL SO ONE OF THE ENTERTAINMENT LEFT IF ALL TECHNOLOGY SUDDENLY DIDN'T WORK
WHATS YOUR SIGNIFICANCE OF JUDGING THINGS LIKE THIS MANGA THE MOTHER OF ANIME I THINK, IF YOU CAN'T DRAW BETTER ART THAN MANGA. I HATE MYSELF FOR WRITING THIS

There is a big disparity in the anime that is available and the amount of manga that is out there.A cheap anime would cost about USD$100k per episode to make. It's quite an investment when your returns are not guaranteed.A good chunk of the anime that do get made are based off manga.Unlike most countries, the publishing industry, especially for printed media is much bigger in Japan so getting a manga published is the easiest way to get a fanbase for your work rather than making an anime.Needless to say, probably over 90% of manga never make it to anime.

Aside from popular shounen and kids anime, most of the other animes today are targeting a very narrow audience(the otaku) If you're looking for more mature titles you probably won't find many on the air because they aren't very profitable. However, you can still find many older people reading manga on trains and subways while commuting to work in Japan due to the convenience it brings. Not everyone has the time to sit down for hours to watch something they can read in an hour on a train.

I guess in short, the things people want often cannot be found in anime especially if you're looking beyond the small scope of the mainstream titles. It's cheap(only in Japan) and a quick way to get some entertainment.I myself prefer reading manga because of this.

You don't click manga, you flip the page. Comic books are awesome to collect, nice to look at, and don't need a monitor.

im pretty sure 50 other people explained to you why manga exists but imma say it anyway, manga is better because the manga has everything the anime version has plus more. think of comparing harry potter books and the movies, the movies are more dramatic but doesn't talk nor have everything the books has.

I prefer manga.

You don't have really loud, annoying and screechy voices for shoujo if that's your thing. And it takes less time to finish. And manga have their own appeal - they have better plotlines, usually, than original anime. If you're gonna keep sippin your haterade, go stand in the corner.

..jk. XD

Manga can offer something Anime can't. A vibrant unique texture of art, and panels, which expresses the flow of story. Manga is a whole different form of presentation.

I like manga cause most of the time they are never animated and/or manga endings are way better than anime ones. 07-Ghosts and Fruits Basket are prime examples. Other times the manga is completely different from the anime like Revolutionoary Girl Utena. It seems like the only manga/anime productions that are consistent are Rumiko Takahashi works or those published by Shonen Jump.

It depends it depends like if you just can't wait for the anime to come out you can read the manga It really just all depends on your personality and what you like though so everyone is different I think manga is great because if you have a blackout you can still read it unlike anime

Oh god.
How stupid.
You know, if there wasn't manga, you wouldn't get half the anime you see today.
Seriously, animes like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Reborn, and ect. came first in manga form.
Manga is entertainment too. Plus, not all mangas get made into animes. It's that simple.

Whether you read manga or watch anime is up to you, but you have to appreciate manga too because without it, probably some of your favorite anime wouldn't have ever been made.
You should be thanking the creation of manga instead of bashing it.

Finally a comrade!

May I add that some drama that people watch are based on some manga (Hana yori dango = meteor garden)

Try finding/reading one of your favourite anime in manga and make comparisons before discreding manga.

For me, I find manga more entertaining because I feel that it gives way to my imagination on how it is supposed to be re-enact in anime.

Finally, some anime does not even reach the same standard as manga (Naruto for example) whilst some actually does (One Piece)
