Crunchyroll iOS app

1. Device Type: iPad 4th generation, iPhone 5
2. OS Version: iOS 6.0.1, 6.0.2 3. App Version: 2.09 4. Problem: scaling when using lightning digital AV adapter seems to be broken. When I used the app a good while ago, it scaled just fine. I now have giant black borders on all sides around my entire video. I have this on a 1080p television. Why did this behavior change? 5. Steps to Reproduce Problem: I can't NOT reproduce it. I can't prevent it at all. I've tried resetting setting, uninstalling/reinstalling. |

Device Type: iPod Touch 2nd Gen
OS Version: 4.2.1 Problem: I can't download the app. I used to have it on my iPod but haven't used the app in a while, but when I tried recently it would just crash any time I tried to watch an episode. I deleted the app and tried to redownload it, but anytime I try it just has a popup that says it's incompatible with iPod Touch. I can download the other apps for just one anime just fine, but it won't let me download the full app even though I used to have it. |

I had tried logging out, and restarting my ipad to no avail and then I noticed that is not updating on the website either. I will check my xbox when I get home to see that as well. Help please Cheers Jasmine We can also try deleting your history to see if that gives it a jog! http://www.crunchyroll.com/home/history (Warning : This will reset everything in your queue.) Have the engineers figured out what may be causing this issue? The problem of the iOS app not updating my queue has happened twice for me. Clearing the history fixes it, but having to do this every couple months isn't ideal. I'll check with our iOS guy and see if he can pop in and give some feedback on what might / is happening. |

Catching up. Please be patient.

The current version of the iOS app requires a newer version of iOS than is available for your device. If you check the requirements of the current app, you'll see this: Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. I don't know if CR was required by App Store policies to do this when they updated the app, or if it was done to implement certain features not available in earlier versions of iOS. Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, Apple won't let developers keep an older version of an app in the App Store. The single series apps still work because they haven't been updated. |

I have the CR iOS app on my iPod Touch 4th Generation. The videos play fine but my queue doesn't update unless I watched the videos on my PC. I just finished watching Campione! Episode 7 (on my iPod), but my queue is still stuck on Episode 6. Is it a bug? Or should I try doing something?

For some reason I can't seem to watch the Milky Holmes series on either my iPad (gen 1) or my iPhone 4 (iOS 5) or even my PS3. On my iOS devices it says I don't have permission and on my PS3 is just freezes it and I have to restart manually. (which seems to happen quite a bit wit the r2 and l2 buttons. Any know fixes? Or solutions?
Thanks. |

Since you already have your birth-date yet, you will need to set the mature content filter to "Show Mature Content" at the following link https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video Give that a try and see if it allows you to watch the show on those devices. |

The current fix is to go to the following link and clear your history. http://www.crunchyroll.com/home/history *WARNING* - You will need to take note of what episode you were last watching for every series in your queue as clearing the history will reset everything back to the first episode. This fix may be temporary however as the bug has returned for some users after resetting their history. If you read up a few posts on this page, you will see that Bjaker will try and get more information from their iOS app developer about this bug. |

That's a little weird seeing as how I was born in 1980... Wouldn't it realize I'm old enough?

This is something that CR had to setup because of the mature content policy of Apple, Sony, and a few other device makers. You'll notice that the mature content filter does not effect viewing on the website as Crunchyroll itself does not have a mature content policy in place, only a minimum age of 13. (You have to be at least 13 to signup for an account) Also, Google does not have as strict of a mature content policy either, so the filter does not effect playback on Android devices. The only devices that the mature content filter effects that I know of are iOS, PS3, and Roku because of the mature content policies that those companies have. |

Sorry if this has been suggested before, a quick trip through the search function didn't seem to turn up anything obvious, so I thought I'd ask...
Would it be possible to add a "Refresh" button to the Updated page on the iOS app? Or make it auto-refresh when it receives the applicationDidBecomeActive event when on that page? Often times I have to force-quit the app and restart it to get the page to update, or go to the site in Safari and use its links to see what's new. |
