Hello, I am having a problem with this since I got the new phone. Please help.

1) Device type : Iphone 5

2) OS version - 6.1

3) App version : 2.10

4) Detailed description of the problem: I open the app and it crashes. Actually, I open it and it's back to the welcome screen. It never open completely.

5) Steps to reproduce the problem: No matter how many updates, it just won't work here. Strange enough, on my old phone, I did a complete restore as new and now it works on that old device, the Iphone 3GS. It's as if I have to restore everything new to make it work. Please I need a real solution without deleting my data.

Try this.

Go to the following link and deactivate your iPhone 5. https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices

On your iPhone 5, delete/uninstall the app and then reinstall from the App Store.

Once you have the app reinstalled, log back into the app.

Still no good. It opens and sent back to the welcome screen. I don't know why is this happening and some other apps go through this as well. I need help, please.

When you say "sent back to the welcome screen", what are you referring to? You said that some other apps also do the same thing. Are those other apps also taking you to this welcome screen, or do you mean that you have other apps that just aren't working?

Well, more like home screen, where you see all other apps and such. Okay, this is how it goes. I open the app, I see the logo, and then it goes back to home screen as if I didn't open the app at all. In other words, I guess you can say it doesn't work. There are like few other apps that does the same. See the logo, back to home screen. So what do you think?

The next thing I would try is a backup and restore of the device (this won't lose your data). If you sync with a computer using iTunes, you would need to run a backup and then a restore using the backup you just created from within iTunes. If you sync with iCloud, you need to do the same but from the phone itself.

If you need help with doing a backup and restore, let me know if you use iTunes or if you backup to iClouds.

I do use iTunes and I am a little unaware on backup and restore and iClouds. I am worry to lose anything or everything. Please tell me how to process this. I hope that whatever I do will work.

Since you use iTunes, when you synce your device it automatically creates a backup. If you live outside of the United States, some purchased music and no TV shows will be backed up. If they are still in the iTunes store, they can be re-downloaded again however.

After you sync your iPhone 5 using iTunes, follow these steps to restore the backup that you just created. You do not need to wipe the device first as the restore process will do that for you before it restores all of your app data.

To restore information from a backup, use one of the following methods after connecting your iOS device to the computer with which you normally sync:

Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up.

Make sure that the backup that you select has the current date and time of when you synced your phone. If the backup listed is not showing the date and time that you synced your phone, that means iTunes did not create a backup when it synced your phone. Do not proceed if this is the case.

After the restore has completed, sync your iPhone 5 again to copy any music, movies, or TV shows back onto your device.

It's no good. It's as if I have to start anew to have all apps working on my new iPhone. Granted, I do believe there are only 3 apps that doesn't work right now, but I feel like there could be more if I install new apps. Now, I feel like there is no other way. What do you suggest?

That is because by default mature content is blocked on iOS devices. Users need to opt-in and manually enable mature content on iOS devices because of Apple's mature content policy.

To enable mature content, you need to first set your date of birth. http://www.crunchyroll.com/editprofile

After that, you need to set the mature content filter to "Show Mature Content". https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video

For future issues, check the Common Problems and Solutions thread first as it can answer most questions, like the one you just asked about. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-784141/common-problems-and-solutions

So you did the backup and restore and the app still crashes upon opening?

I would contact Crunchyroll support using their Contact Us page. Make sure to include all of the steps you have taken so far. http://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact

iPod touch (4th gen I thinnk)
iOS 6.1
Last update was within the past month, sorry I can't be more specific, there's no update in the App Store

I get the loading circle thing a lot when trying to watch anime. Sometimes it takes so long to start again, that I just give up and don't watch it at all. I don't have a premium membership and use my parents wifi. I'm not sure if this is an app problem, wifi problem or iPod problem. Would signing up for a premium membership help at all? Or is there anything else I can do?

Sorry if this has already been brought up. I have trouble reading a lot on my iPod, so I didn't read all the posts.

Log out / Log in?
Uninstall / Reinstall?

Can you walk me through exactly what happens starting from when you click on the icon to open the app?

It opens fine, but while I'm watching an episode it freezes and lags.
