This is not 480p. This is YouTube from seven years ago. Absolutely ridiculous.

This is not a bandwidth issue, as demonstrated by both the Roku channel and Google Chrome.
This is not an account issue. Logout, reinstall, and reboot all do nothing. See previous statement.
All I can come up with is that the iOS app is just limited to the point of being unwatchable, but that can't be right.


I'm getting similar issues.....All my videos are blurry.

It's like it's not sharpening at all.

The quality of the feed you get is going to depend on your connection.
The iOS device makes use of Apple's Adaptive Streaming Technology.
In order to maintain a stream, the quality of it is going to adjust based on the strength of your connection.

If you want, you can run a few tests for me.

(We're looking into ways to maintain a certain resolution rather than have the app use Adaptive Streaming Tech. No timeline on when this would be included.)

Do you guys plan to add Xbox "pairing" functionality, like the YouTube app? Meaning, being able to search and navigate videos on the Crunchyroll app on your iPhone and then launch playback directly to your TV via the Crunchyroll app on Xbox?

This would be awesome and very convenient. Thx!

1) Device type - IPhone 4S
2) OS version - iOS 6.0
3) App version: The latest one?
4) I've had this problem occurring for a while ecspecially when switching between public wireless and 3G. The app will just randomly say that I do not have permission to view the resource. I know what you guys are thinking enable mature/ set date of birth etc but they are both already set and I am over 18. My phone will resolutely refuse to play age restricted content no matter how much I try.

On restarting the phone it will show the videos but will get the above error message and when I restart the app they simply do not appear at all. The error disappears after a long time I'm not sure what variable makes it start/stop working. Does anyone have ANY idea what could be causing this because I'm stumped!

I downloaded the app last night. It has started to kick me out of the app after the intro credits. It is very frustrating! I have the iPad 2 with the iOS version 6.1.3.

Surprise. There's a super secret feature in the iOS app.
Step 1) Go to Settings.
Step 2) Tap and hold anywhere on the settings screen. A super secret set of menu items should appear.
Step 3) Set "Fixed video quality" to on.
Step 4) Enjoy pretty anime.

In the help section for an ios device it is mentioned "how do I manage my subscription though iTunes" but I am having difficulty finding how to do this anywhere. This would be my preferred method of payment if it is still available. Any answer would be greatly appreciated cause I need to sort this out fast I don't want to miss the next 'attack on titan"

Both my iOS apps seem to be working fine but I'm in the United States. Does anyone know if this problem is isolated to international servers or has this issue been resolved?
