2 questions:

1) Any chance of getting the iPhone 4/iPad to play the 720p stream?
2) Is AirPlay support in the works?

Basically, I want to use AirPlay to watch a show in 720p to get around the fact that AppleTV still doesn't have apps (very disappointing).

I've had the app for a few days and so far so good. The only issue I have is that sometimes the app will quit and close out by itself in the middle of an episode. This doesn't always happen, but has happened a few times already. Just wanted to let you know.

About Airplay:
Notably, the web-based videos will not stream unless they are specifically authorized by the web sites’ developers to do so; iOS 4.3 looks for a permission tag before allowing the video to stream from the iOS device to a TV. This is almost certainly being done to placate movie or TV studios concerned that their content might be streamed from the Internet to television sets without their specific permission, and effectively blocks everything else from working unless individual web sites add the permission tags to each of their videos. While the effort required to add one tag is trivial, it remains to be seen how many sites will do so proactively, and across multiple videos. Audio from unauthorized videos will still stream over AirPlay, but the videos will only be watchable on the device’s screen.

Hi, are you guys still having problems streaming? We ran into some capacity issues over the weekend, but it should be resolved now.


Not sure when this was resolved, maybe after the latest App update, but I can now view videos well again with no constant rebuffering.

hi everyone! umm im having a problem with the app... this haven't happened before and i alredy tried to rebot my ipod (4th gen) and download again the app, none of those seems to work...
the problem is really anoying. I can "watch" naruto shippuden (right now i am on episode 78) but theres video and audio problems. The episode is all pixelated and sometimes the audio is not on time... i haven't tried another show... let me know if i'm the only one with this problem

I'm getting pretty frustrated by this. I'm on an iPod Touch 3g (8gb) running iOS 4.1 with Crunchyroll app version 1.12. I recently bought four episode passes (two two-pass purchases) and I still haven't been able to use them. The first time I pressed purchase, it said purchase successful. When I went to my account info, I had no passes! I thought it might have been an error and pressed purchase again. This time right after buying, it said I had a pass, but when I pressed to play the episode, it said i didn't have enough! I pressed play again and it said the same thing! When I went to my account info it said I had zero passes again!!! I really hope someone can help me. I better not have wasted $4 on nothing! I sound kind of cheap being annoyed over $4, but still! Plus, it sucks not being able to buy any passes.

Episodes residing in "History" page, are unselectable.

1.) IPad 3G 32GB
2.) 4.2.1 (8C148)
3.) 1.12
4.) With many of the prior releases of the app I was able to browse to the History page in the app and select any episode to open up the page for that episode so I could easily resume any previous episodes I had watched/started to watch. This no longer appears to be the case. I am uncertain which update this began in, but is certainly in the release version listed above (1.12). When I browse to History now the episodes do not respond to a touch input.

5.) Repro Steps:
:: :: Current Behavior :: ::
-- Launch Crunchyroll App
-- Tap "History" Icon
-- Tap on an Episode listed in the History (if no episodes available in history, start an episode and then return to the History page)
-- Notice that the touch input does not open up the page for the episode being tapped on. The touch input gets no response.
:: :: Expected Behavior :: ::
- Tapping on an Episode listed in the History will launch the page for that episode.

History Page can still be scrolled by using a swipe touch interaction, and all other interactions still function within the app. App has been reinstalled, device rebooted.

I was just curious, is certain anime not viewable on the ipod app? I see on the website series like Seitokai no Ichizan and Sora no Otoshimono are available but I don't see them on the app.

Why are animes like H2O not viewable on the app?
Im not a premium member. Is it a bug or are certain animes restricted to premium members?
