Just to chime in on the iOS app - can't watch anything without the return-to-start bug kicking in, it's making the app unusable at this point.

BBC iPlayer app had similar problems recently, and the BBC traced it to an issue with their CDN ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/2012/03/iplayer_app_on_iphone_and_ipad.html ) - is this something you guys have looked into yet?

Recalrico - We are currently working on implementing HD support in our apps & channels. I am unsure if we will be rolling them out one at a time (Android, Roku, iOS, etc) or if we will be doing one big release.

Jake2034 - I'll check with the development team to see if I can get any further info.

maehara_uk - I'll bring this up with the development team to see if they have already investigated, thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Ran into a big problem today. The app doesn't recognize my premium membership. I tried closing the app from the multi task bar, and tried with something I know I should be able to watch.

Im running the latest version of iOS and the CR app, on an iPhone 4S.

Please help. :'(

I just noticed the same problem as jake2034 on my iPad when going to watch Another 9 -- the app says it's only available to anime members (which I am). can watch fine on the website. Logged out and back in, but it didn't help.

Can you log out and log in and see if that fixes it?
If not, try uninstalling and reinstalling and let me know if that works.

Are you guys neglecting the fact that you have an iPhone app? It's been 3 months since I switched from my droid to an iPhone and I had the same problem since day 1 and I grow tired of writing out tickets. Droids app works fine.

They may have been waiting for 5.1 to be released, so the wouldn't have to "fix it" again, or to see if 5.1 resolved the problem. As I recall, all of these reports of problems with the app started around the time 5.01 was released.

I will be watching an episode and it will keep restarting the feed but the duration bar on the screen shows as if I am still where I am suppose to be even if the feed has restarted. I have to restart the video again and put the video back at where it is suppose to be. This will happen to me several times in one episode. It is extremely irritating, I am a premium member.
Has anyone else been experiencing this problem?

Thanks for the reply Holzy32, it is good to know I am not the only one in this boat. I just started up my membership again so wasn't sure about the problem.


You don't have to restart the whole app, just look at where your time bar is, click done, and then click play and scroll to where you left off. This really only inconveniences me for a minute total.

I have updated to 5.1. No problems so far. But that is only after watching one episode since updating. I know that restart problem only occurs if I leave the app, pause/rewind etc. But I don't think I have done any of that yet since updating. I would just update if I were you, my experience with iOS updates has been pretty good. My iPad 1 seems to run a little faster in 5.1.

So im thinking about getting into the smart phone market with a 4S. How is watching episodes/movies on the Mac product?
