Hey I redowloaded the app like you guys said and
it crashes less frequent but it still
Crashes . Also When ever I get a notification from any app
When I press view later so I can keep watching the episode
It crashes or exits it for some reason . Also can you put a update
When we leave the app to answer a call or txt or another app
To start the video where it left off like on the older app of cruchyroll
Looking forward for the next update Thank !!!!

By the way I have a 2nd generation IPod Touch
With 4.2 software and the lates update for
crunchyroll app.

I just need a couple more details to help hunt down the black screen bug for you.
1) Black screen on launch -> is it a completely black screen? do you see an animated spinner? any graphics or images if you look closely?
2) Do you see the app splash screen before it goes black when you launch it for the second time?
3) If you leave the black screen alone for a couple minutes, does it crash by itself or stay there?
4) Which ISP are you using?

Regarding Airplay, no third-party apps are able to stream video to it at the moment. We need to wait for an Apple update for that to happen. Also, if Apple TV opens up an App Store, you can be sure we'll try to get on it. :D

Thanks! We'll definitely fix that notifications bug in the next release, hopefully coming soon.

Video resuming should be automatic in iOS4 multitasking, but we'll verify.
In iOS3.1, when you come back to the app, you can just hit the play button again and you'll see a dialog that lets you choose to resume where you left off or start from the beginning.

It's what I call "VCR black" - you can tell the screen is "on", but there is nothing there, just that sorta glowy black.

yes. briefly. very briefly.

it just sits there

Help! I'm getting an error message when I try to play videos: "3G Video not ready. Please check back later!" I am a registered user on the 2 week trial, trying out the service. I would love for this to work!!!

1) Device type - iPad, connecting via 3G (not over Wifi)
2) OS version - 4.2.1 (8C148)
3) App version - latest (1.09)
4) Detailed description of the problem: when I click on "Play", all videos say "3G Video not ready. Please check back later!" Based on replies to other users on this forum, I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but this didn't help. I still get the same "3G Video not ready..." message.
5) Steps to reproduce the problem: start CrunchyRoll, log in, browse to Korean Dramas, click on Coffee Prince (for example), pick an episode (I chose #1), click on play, then I get this "3G Video not ready..." message.

I've recently switched from an iPod Touch 2nd gen to a Touch 4th gen. Initially the app crashed immediately after trying to boot up but I fixed it after deleting only the Crunchyroll app from the iPod and reinstalling it. Just FYI.

I'm using the latest iOS (4.2.1).

Is there a comprehensive list anywhere of which series aren't available for the mobile app? I understand that some rightsholders consider "stream to mobile" a different license than "stream to PC" but it would be nice if, somewhere on the site or the app, we could have a full list of what's not going to be there.

4.2.1
and i have the latest update of the crunchyroll app
app keeps on crashing whenever i open it. when i click the app it shows the home page and then it crashes ... it worked right after i updated it but a few days later it kept on crashing !! please help i want to watch anime soo bad !!

The audio and video for Panty and Stocking episode 11 become out of sync at around 8 minutes and 50 seconds into the video.

I wonder how many of the videos are checked after encoding. There seems to be a lot of videos with syncing problems lately and it really lowers the whole CR experience for me as I mostly use my iPad for CR now. This is the 6th video to have syncing problems that I have come accross in the past few weeks, with half being new released simulcasts.

To repeat the problem just watch the video and seek to around the 8:50 minute mark.

I have noticed with my iPad when I open the app and try to play something I just get a black screen, when I check the open programs running it will show 2 crunchy roll instances open, one takes me to the black screen and one to the main category screen.

If the video is on the featured page in the animated banner, it will play the video as there is a Play button. Since that banner gets updated every week with new videos, you can only use this method to play the newest video.

I tried that but it keeps saying that the video must be played on a computer because of mature content. When I tried to click the play button, the video won't even load and crash after a few minutes.

the sound on my ipod tuch is always slower than the vid. it happened after i watched my 10th episode.. it dosent help if i reinstall
