I would suggest that this thread be stickied, but only like 35% of the people that visit the forums check out the stickied threads.

Anyways, when posting pictures, there should be some sort of limit. That way the page doesn't take forever to load.

It's a not-to-serious online forum, not a college debate room, so stop being so damn whiney. You were cool before jay, I can appreciate your angry spirit, but lately you've been nothing but a boob running around saying how stupid the posts on this forum are. PLEASE get over yourself. In the long run, it really doesn't matter as long as the rules are followed...

The rest of the message is fine. There are some common post mechanics that people really need to look into.

I'd like to request an addition as well, that our Jay frequently violates himself. Respect and no flaming. Don't call people retards, idiots, whatever other insult your mind can come up with, because instead of solving the problem it puts people on the defensive. Not to mention making you look like a complete ass. Rudeness is not a proper way to post.

Some of us ARE trying to be serious, and trying to make this into a decent forum where it's not filled with crap. And is saying nub or 1337 appropriate? Is it against the rules?

I forgot to say that too. They deserve it, but you are pretty much breaking a different kind of etiquette.

Look, you need to stop being defensive. I have a problematic cognitive process (similar to your dyslexia), but so what? I've posted enough for some regulars to recognise that I'm not good at making concise posts and good sentence construction. They can either read or ignore my posts. No big deal.

The main thing is do our best to put a point across well. You should adopt this attitude for yours, too. If you post often, frequent regulars will learn to associate your posting style quirk (in this case, your dyslexia) with you enough to accept these mistakes in your future posts as the norm.

Oh wait, I have an idea about the grammar and spelling errors.

Why don`t you open a microsoft word or Wordperfect and write down what you`d like post and just hit the spell check and the grammar check. Then when there`s no more errors, copy, paste, and post (:

How`s that?

Ugh, is this just becoming a debate? Just type as best as you can on the forum. You can type how you want to in your PMs, unless your recipient gets annoyed with the style in which you do it. Some people (me, for one) don't understand "respecta". *coughs*

EDIT:

Or how about you get Firefox? -.- It already has spell check.

^^ haha a good idea in theory but I don't think anyone would be bothered enough to do that, not to mention that the majority of forum post-ers on CR don't actually give a damn about grammar/punctuation.

^^^ There is a spell checker as a Firefox add-on.

Got mine (British English dictionary) from here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3

Alternatives:

Spellbound

(a guide: http://www.wikihow.com/Install-a-Spell-Checker-Into-Firefox)

For Internet Explorer users:

God, save me from my sin for breakin Doom's suggestion.

I'd like to add something to to the procedure I like to call, "RTFP"

I was mostly going after Jay for a large bouts of whining lately. I don't agree with 1337 speak, thats why I said,
"The rest of the message is fine. There are some common post mechanics that people really need to look into"

translated nicely, RTFP means, "Read The Fricking Post" Something your supposed to do before responding. So, if you come to an Anime oriented website and onto its forum expecting complete seriousness... you got something wrong in the head.

And I have to say this to Do0m. I agree to no flaming... But I will continue to insult people if I feel it necessary to correct them. I will treat those who deserve respect with respect, and those who don't, with none so that they may know that they need to earn it, and others. If it becomes a banning offense you might as well toss me out now. None of my insults are underserved.

There are sections that DO NOT deal with anime in these forums, and should be taken seriously if the thread is meant to be. Nobody has the right to post like a dumbass anyways.

[To below]: It should be what the topic is meant to be.. >.<... but still if it's a funny thread... As long as it's actually funny... :3

^ But what about fun?

[Edit to above]
But what is the point in a topic if is isn't enjoyed? I can be funny and serious at the same time you know. Everyone enjoys a topic in a different way. The goal of a poster should be to enjoy a forum, and enhance other people's experience.

Whoa peoples....this topic got kinda out of hand. >-<
